It just doesn’t burn. You throw the scoop quick and efficiently. I can’t always do it depending on the conditions so I have some in my back pocket just in case, but I hate wearing gloves when I’m firing or running. You just don’t actually need them most of the time.
Does the Road Engine ever blow the whistle on the D&S when doubleheading?
Not for crossings, but mostly for responding to signals which is usually only when swapping which engine is controlling the air.
Are engineers on The Durango and Silverton allowed to Play with the whistle at Grade Crossings? You know what I mean by "Play with the whistle" right?
As long as you aren’t going crazy and still fulfill what’s legally required, we can more or less blow whistles with our own style.
