Spent 5 days on Islay in 2018, part of a trip to England & Scotland. What a magic trip that was, went to every distillery there. Ardnahoe had only just opened. Like you, my favourite drams come from this island. I adore the Lagavulin 16-year-old, but even the Ardbeg 10-year-old is a fine drop - for a lot less.

I also try to visit all distillery's.
The Lagavulin 16yo was my favourite, until I tasted the Distillers Edition. I also like the Caol Ila Moch as a cheaper dram.

Een prachtig geheel; de witte huizen zicht over de baai, verstilde landschappen en privestrand bij eb. Wat wenst men zich meer ?
Jazeker: een ziltige Single Malt uit één v.d. vele stokerijen.

Wat wenst men zich nog meer? Ik kan alleen iets minder wind en iets hogere temperaturen verzinnen. Ook ik blijf me elke keer verbazen over de rust en de afwisseling van het landschap.
