CONTINUED... Flamed-dried guzhengs have very dark soundboards because the makers use a fire gun to dry out the soundboards. Flame-dried guzhengs are the loudest, but have a metallic sound to it because the top layer cells on the wood soundboard has been burned. Xi'an Scarlet Bird brand guzhengs and some Henan brands use the air drying method. Shanghai Dunhuang brand guzhengs are known for their oven-dried guzhengs. Yangzhou guzhengs are known for their flame-drying method.
Air-dried guzhengs have a natural wood colored soundboard because the wood had been exposed to the air for a year or more to naturally dry out and these guzhengs sound nice and warm. Oven-dried guzhengs have golden-brown or yellow soundboards bacause they have been dried in a large oven and the sound produced sound crisp and sweet.

许菱子老师的爸爸许守诚老师不但古筝老师还是二胡老师，字写的非常漂亮又懂中医，更是一位淡泊名利的好老师！离开武汉音乐学院二十多年了！不知道她爸爸好不好，我2015岁回国去武音看他听说去和女儿许菱子在一起了！㊗️他老人家健康长寿！保重身体！

听惯了别的，这种音色有点不太习惯
潮州音乐总是听到杨琴和二玄声，其他乐器声似乎披盖过，许女士的钢丝古筝就表现出杨琴主导潮州音乐的特色，其他外面弹的寒鸭戯水只是照着乐谱弹，我是潮州人就没感觉那是潮州音乐，这乐谱拿去给印度音乐人弹揍自然也会变成另一种景像。
