    You can use any MIDI connection, not just one on your audio interface. It can be a USB connection, MIDI hub or MIDI connection from a controller keyboard.

    Lol, I bought mainstage to get this feature(but forgot about it), and when you said it was new in 10.5 I thought you were mistaken 🤣

    Isn't the reason for the "difference in sound" with the second instrument that you just lowered the input gain by 3dB when sampling? Therefore when you play the samled instrument it's just....3dB lower in volume? =)

      Ciao Tobias, NI Sound libraries and also NI Monark for example can be a bit hot in volume sometimes, I often turn them down a little to be sure to not clip the subsequent chain. Or when going direct into Logic from Monark I use an instance of gain plugin to obtain some "unity" level with the rest of the tracks. Cheers claudio

      @@solviksfolkhogskola Ciao, oh now you've missed something: it's not my video, I'm just a mere mortal subscribed channel consumer as well ;-) I'm not near as competent as Chris who makes those awesome videos for this channel... To be honest, I couldn't tell why the difference is exactly. I've just noticed that Chris is doing the same as me, which is turning down gain when handling some really hot samplers/sample players, just to be sure that nothing clips in the chain. As long as there is no analog gear (or models thereof) involved, it should technically make no difference if the gain just has been turned down. Well, then again when I think of interface preamps, saturation comes to mind, so, yes, it can make a difference. I reckon that this all boils down to personal sound preference. Cheers claudio

    The best youtube content ever 🤟🏼 hey chris, did you know how to make drum kit designer (producer kit) mono output for kick in, kick out, snareT, snareB ?

    i maybe under thinking this but would (i assume it would, but) it work the same for a drum machine say a roland tr series? mabye i missed that

    Could it be that the lowered volume of Analog made the auto sampled result sound more quiet?

    is it possible to connect this to fl studio to sample instruments from something like sytrus?

    • @Jasperi
      @Jasperi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive never done it but im fairly sure you could, all you would need to do is set up a virtual midi device. Similar process to what you do when you want to record logic's midi arp back into a midi output.

      You can do this natively: cmd+option+5 to bring up a toggle for your screen recording options

      You can also set up screen record thru QuickTime player for both audio and video. This is a good video on how to set up. Only have to do it once. th-cam.com/video/dNYZOaf3Gvs/w-d-xo.html

    Hey Chris, I really love your Channel, you helped me SOO MUCH. Thank you.
    I wanted to ask if there's any good way to implement my sample library into apple loops, so I can play them directly in project tempo or project pitch.

      Try Downloading Komplete Kontrol form native instruments. You can sort though samples and stems and loops easier.
