There are only just so many ways to say "Wow"! The various design elements are truly compelling to behold. I, too, am anxious to see the finished home.

Looking good! I love the combinations of brown tones being used, and combined with the stone it just looks awesome. If I could build a home I would do something similar. Can't wait to see the final results!

Why the stud walls and all those different insulation types with a timber frame? You could achieve a much higher insulation value and energy efficiency with SIPs and a timber frame.

We can build with SIPS also, depends on customer choices

I was wondering too, why they build the house with metal beams and stick framing and then just add timber as decoration... I would imagine it would be more efficient to just utilize the timber for the structure rather than an after thought

    Do you do radiant heat?

So those timber trusses are ornamental and not structural? Its weird theyre attached to the existing cieling instead of being what holds the house up

I'm curious why the timber trusses and some other large things such as headers were not pre-stained before installation.

Because they are so heavy they can get mared just moving them around, great question

I have to ask the question why the owner chose to tile the home theatre?
Not the first choice most people would choose as flooring in a home theatre room. I'm not sure it would sound great, but I haven't been in the audio and visual industry for over 20 years.

We will try to answer that question in the next video

It would be easier to clean. People spill drinks, you know.

@teresaoconnell4790 Fair point, and I do agree in that regard. However, a good quality carpet these days are very durable, stain and wear resistant, not expensive for a home of this calibre and quite easy to replace.
But why don't public movie theatre's have the same flooring?
Far more traffic, spillage, staining and soiling.
A theatre is about sound and noise suppression for the best quality of sound. Why bother having an expensive home theatre that sounds like shit?
