What a day for boeing
Glad Boeing is gaining more orders.
240 orders
What a good day for Boeing all across it's lineup.❤❤❤
Happy to see Boeing is back 😊
*Boeing Lover here,*
*and this is Awesome Good News for the Plane maker.*
Boeing needs to think long term. By that I mean China. It needs strength in cash. This also applies to Airbus. Its very obvious given the Chinese push. It will spend billions to provide cheap aircraft to the Airlines, who will only see quick profit and not the long term consequences. Both Boeing and Airbus need to watch their backs.
And now they must deliver the 777-8! Guess what? The moment R&R finally is getting their act together the 777-8 order is getting cancelled and replaced with an A350-1000 order since Airbus has a real, proven product and Boeing has a paper plain with uncertain delivery schedule. Consider the 777-8 order as a wake up call toward R&R. Tim Clark is playing hard ball since R&R didn't get the memo.
congrats Boeing and 777X this will be the next 777 300 ER
Not really, the 777X is an heavy, fat outdated thing with new wings and engines. And the engines have to prove it's reliability. So far several redesigns were required to get it ready to work. Now they must get reliable. You obviously forgot, that Emirates has no problems to cancel an order, if the product is not to their liking!
The core issue with the A350 is R&R. The moment R&R finally wakes up and accepts the fact, that the R&R offerings must be competitive with GE offerings, the A350-1000 will be a superior solution to the 777X. The 787 is more efficient then the A350 due to lighter weight and smaller cross section. Same will apply to the A350 and the 777X. The A350-1000 has a smaller cross section and 30 tons less MTOW. Boeing would have to redefine physical laws to overcome the disadvantages.
@@aquaden8344If it ain’t boeing I ain’t going
Definitely Boeing's day...
See if Airbus can grab back momentum tomorrow!
They will! Turkish
@@wadehiggins1114 Didn't happen
@@nickolliver3021 just wait, nick!!!
It's difficult for Airbus with R&R as the sole engine supplier for the A350. As long as there is no pressure on R&R to get competitive they will be Airbus' weak link.
@@nickolliver3021 It's a R&R issue like with Emirates and others. As long as R&R has wear and quality issues as well as unattractive pricing for their products and services Boeing will get the orders. It's not an Airbus issue, the frame is OK, it's the engine supplier, that sucks.
Cant wait for day 2
Ty dj!!
Thank you for the coverage. Hoping Airbus has a better day tomorrow.
Airbus has a show stopper at its hands, it's called R&R, an English engine maker, complete oblivious toward the needs of potential customers. As long as Airbus has to drag R&R along with every A350 deal it will be sluggish for Airbus.
Airbus is getting punished for R&R's strategic mismanagement and failures in the strategic planning and product strategy. Ignoring the narrow body engine market was their down fall.
ROYAL JORDANIAN 787-9 4 UNITS
AIR EGYPT 737 MAX - 18 UNITS
EMIRATES 777X 90 UNITS AND 787
AIR DUBAI 30 787-9 TOTAL 45 ORDERS
You lost 100 plus 🤔
its Fly Dubai not Air Dubai
It's more like Emirates dumped the 787-9 order at FlyDubai since they don't want the 787-9 any longer.
Royal Jordanian has a great livery.
Just liked as the 777 person, what a coincidence...
Thanks Dj for all these brilliant news!
Some nice balance for a change DJ
Amazing content and effort, keep it going. Thank you for organising this for us
Those sped up test flights though 😂
It would be welcome if you also specify the engine selection with each aircraft order .
That f15qa demo was pretty cool. Hoping they make an f15ex demo in the u.s
Show some footage of AirBaltic, they have some awesome stock footage of the A220 :)
Yay
I have heard the Turkish order looming for Airbus, but as i undestood that is just half the order. With the other half going to Boeing? Is that correct?
That’s correct although only the Airbus part has been leaked on likely what’s chosen. Similar to how only the Boeing part of Air India’s order got leaked first
*Boeing has said that they have the Technology to Build a 777X - 10*
*but there would have to be a Demand for it.*
*The 777X - 10 would be a stretch version of an existing plane. Therefore Development Time would be Greatly Shortened.*
And they certainly have the GE9X engine with increased thrust to power the 777-10. Dream on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did nobody notice that he said a day for the Paris air show not Dubai air show
I did yes
I thought i was watching an old video 😂
Give him a break. He's been working very hard.🥱🥱
Yes, I was like, huh!?! Rewind. Yep! I heard what I heard. Paris air show.
In fact i just left A comment on it as well
With B787 order by Fly Dubai were transferred from Emirates and Emirates is new order for B787
Waiting for an order from Turkish Airlines for the 777-9
Same here. I read before that they’re slated to place an order for 600 aircraft split between Boeing & Airbus. Mostly narrowbody aircraft from Airbus & mostly widebody from Boeing including 777X
It would be another milestone for the program if TK orders the 777x. Wouldn’t be surprised if they do order it
Yes that would be awesome
Constructive feedback: I found the sped-up footage of the aircraft to be distracting and disconcerting. In my opinion, it detracted from the report. Just one viewer's opinion.
so far in FIRST 2 DAYS BOIENG HAS 316 PLANE ORDERS VS 65 OF AIRBUS
Dj, I have heard rumors that Boeing is bringing back the 757 is this true?
false!
Egyptair desperately needs to refurbish old cabins. I just flew on one of their 737-800s. Let's just say it's very old. Soft product wasn't bad though.
Nothing can replace the a380
777x is to tight and lower ceiling than a380
I took a flight from jfk to dubai
Omg so huge cabine and high ceilings
Двигатели у Боинга-777Х такие большие что могут попасть стая маленьких самолётов
It's not the order that matter but the price. Rarely airlines pay list prices for their aircrafts. I wonder what profit if any Boeing are making, i think not much! And i'm sure they already have a great discount from Boeing as the 777X is already at least half a decade late to market lol
Has Emirates ordered more 777X or just reaffirmed their old order?
ordered more 55 more plus options for more I would imagine
It got reported as order, but what exactly the order entails is difficult to interpret. It might be signed orders or it might be purchase intentions. It might even be a schema to get rid of the 787-9 by dumping it at FlyDubai and get a placeholder for the stalled A350-1000 negotiations. I wonder what will happen when R&R finally agrees to terms and Emirates places an A350-1000 order. Will the big, heavy, fat 777-8 still be need or will it be dumped for the lean, mean A350-1000???????
@@nickolliver3021 Your hopeless! Why don't you wait and see until Boeing is able to deliver the 777-8. The 777-8 is a less efficient version of the 777X family. Should Emirates and R&R finally work out its differences, then an undelivered 777-8 will be at risk. There is no need for a 777-8 if the A350-1000 is ordered by Emirates.
@@aquaden8344 I'm not talking about the a350-1000 and 777-8. The 777-8 will be ready by 2027 boeing has said. But Emirates can order whatever they want. Both 777-8 and a350-1000 to expand network
@@aquaden8344 in your dreams
Oh Yes, this was the best Boeing commercial ever produced by this channel.
Yes a change of pace because he's usually Airbus biased..
keep going on about Boeing commercial and wake up to reality
What has been rumored for a long time is now getting obvious, R&R is Airbus's achilles heel! Their constant bad news about engines disintegrating in mid air to increased wear, that requires engine swaps at one third of the on-wing time, isn't encouraging airlines to order R&R engines. On top comes R&R's pricing for their products and services, which is subject of constant complains.
The 777X orders are a direct answer to Airbus's sluggish slow decision making about the second stretch of the A350-1000 as well as R&R's procrastination with the UltraFan. Too bad, Airbus and R&R missed the boat and Boeing could dump its outdated 777X garbage at Emirates - the 777-8 order is an obvious indicator for R&R not getting Emirates memo and Airbus ultimately lost the A350-1000 deal to the 777-8.
It's time for Airbus to have a serious talk with R&R. Either R&R is able to perform so no futur deals are lost due to their incompetence or Airbus has to switch to GE engines and dump R&R.
Good to hear for Boeing. it needed orders very badly given the billions of dollars of debt on the Presidential 747's
the presidential 747s was not the reason for more orders
Do you think these 777X planes got sold at list price? They got dumped for the lowest price at Emirates to keep the production line running for a little bit longer. They also needed a sucker for financing the 777-8 development like they needed Qatar to finance the 777-8F development. The future will show, how smart it was to sell Emirates a not certified and not existing plane.
What if R&R finally gets the memo and is offering it's engines at reasonable financial conditions? Either Boeing can deliver the 777-8 or the order is getting cancelled and replaced with A350-1000.
This is going to be Boeing show. Airbus has of course a huge backlog. Has the Turkish Airline Airbus deal been confirmed?
That may come tomorrow
boeing is junk but they are giving out good deals.
I don't think Airbus will be fussed cause people are buying 737 Max or even the 787 considering they have huge backlog for A320neo Family and the A350-900. Where they would be upset is the 777x orders. They need orders for A350-1000 but their production rates are around 15-20 a year which is a disgrace. They need another assembly for A321neo and A350.
@@Anand-cx8po re: 777x vs a350-1000 yes and no..remember, they are producing 15-20 a year that get out of the hangars and fly...same cannot be said for the 777x
@@jpazinho That 15-20 number is the issue for Airbus and is holding the A350-1000 back. They need another A350 assembly line definitely.
Dubai Air Show yes? Paris Air Show was and will be in the future. 😊
Thanks for the outstanding coverage!!!
Sorry but will continue to fly Emirates where an A380 is operating the service. I dislike their 777s and will be a long time before I trust the 777X given their problems over recent years. Whilst I have had flights on the 787s I am yet to find the dream, A350 are perfect.
keep that attitude and you'll have to accept that the a380 will not last long at Emirates .why would it take you time before to trust the 777x because of its problems over recent years? If thats the case then it wont be certified anytime soon yet it will be in late next year
@@nickolliver3021 Are you a member of the Boeing social media team? Even you should be aware of Boeing's never ending quality problems with all of it's products. How can you question the guy's concerns about Boeing's lack of production quality or GE's issues with GE9X. Are you really naive enough to believe all engine issues are gone after several engine redesigns were required to get the 777X program to its current state?
Fu__ boeing!!!!!
