Men of God of today are so different from the men of God of today. No cut. No condescend. I simply have such an honor and respect for pioneers who paved a way for us younger folks to walk on. They didn’t have the bells and whistles of technology that this digital age is so dependent upon. These men had to really be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. If you were playing with God back then, you didn’t stand a chance at playing on the watch of those who sat in the pew and the pulpit. People were trying to help one another make it to Heaven. Today, we’re trying to get people Blessed and their soul is on its way to Hell. God wants us to be Blessed but the Saints of yesterday testified that they were Blessed and on their way to Heaven. Enough of myself. I’m a COGIC boy by default and a Pastor today because of what was instilled in me from a small church on the West Bank of New Orleans. Everiste Temple COGIC was a firestorm that sat on the corner and I’m so glad that I saw the tail end of what we know today as Pentecost.
