I learned to drive on a 1952 Ferguson Tractor when I was 9 years old. It was hard for me to reach the clutch and brake pedals. My Dad taught me on our family farm. Later when I was bit older I spent many hours plowing with a 2 furrow plow. Thank for the video, it brought back wonderful memories for me. Kids in 1957 learned to drive farm tractors very young. So different today.

Love to hear stories like this. I think that is what draws me to old equipment. I grew up in Montana running a bunch of it and brings me back. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Drag scoops were pulled behind a tractor to move dirt. Steel wheels of any size or type are always great for decorating. Good score on the Ferguson plow.
Other brand moulboards might work on you plow, maybe later year Fords. Head to the farm equipment store.

Hello From Kentucky. Recently over the Thanksgiving holiday, I purchased a 8N Ford with a Woods RM306 finish mower. A few nights back, I was watching a video here on TH-cam with a Dearborn Plow that this person was fixing up. One of the coulters were pretty chewed up and this guy had to order 2 of the 16 inch coulter discs in order to get the correct bolt pattern. Unfortunately, there were some parts that were no longer available. The plow looked pretty nice after he got everything painted and put together. The 2 wheeled mower is something I had thought about like for my 8N. I couldn’t tell what brand it was, But some of those mowers had a detachable left side where you could actually make some pretty decent wind rows for cutting hay. I have been watching several videos here on TH-cam regarding the Ferguson and 9N/2N/8N tractors to better educate myself regarding those tractors.

Thanks for all that info. You remember the name of channel? I have a 8n that I just finsished rebuilding the motor on. It will make some appearances on channel as well. Thanks for watching and commenting

@@cabovergaryThe Handy Outdoorsman is the name of the TH-cam channel. This was indeed a Ferguson 2 bottom plow instead of a Dearborn plow although I am not sure that the two plows have different brand name plates but are basically the same plow. I think that I have watched the vast majority of TH-cam videos regarding 9N/2N/8N Fords as well as the Ferguson tractors which were very very similar to the Fords. Hope this helps you out.

With how far I am from town I have learned to be careful with them or it will kill couple hours to run back and forth. I want a John Deere something. I have a ford 8n as well but wanting a bigger one. Thanks as always for watching and commenting.

Interesting heap. Looked like there were at least 2 of what you were looking for, but would have to look through really carefully, especially as there might be things living in there who might resent disturbance.

Yea it is. The two I found, one was way short and the other is close but angle it is forged in is wrong. There are a bunch of black widows spiders in there!

Can't you re-use the cutting edge of another plough in the junk pile for yours? 13:01

I was hoping so but they are not the same size. One is close and will have to make it work if I can’t find one. It will not be right though. Thanks for watching and commenting
