The 500 Goldie was designated DBD34. There was also a BSA A10 Rocket Gold Star which was a 650 twin, which is the bike they showed. Poor research by the presenter.
Before your next video, do some research and get your facts and photos correct before putting it out there. It was nice seeing all of these old bikes, but your info was so incorrect and misleading that the video was fairly obnoxious.
OK, cool. This brought back memories. My first bike was a BSA 650 Lightning. That was in 1971. My next bike was a Ducati 250 Desmo, Then a 450 Desmo Scrambler, a BSA Rocket 3, several 80 inch Flathead Harleys, a couple of 45 Flathead Harleys and one Knucklehead Harley. Then I started flying airplanes and hang gliders. I couldn't afford two mistresses. I'm 73 now. I'm thinking about what could take the place of my Duke 450 Scrambler. Thanks for the memories.
If your going to make a video about anything get your pictures and footage at least something right, the first Triumph had every model shown except a Bonnie = T110, T100,Tr6 bitsas custom jobs but no bonnie, what a load of shit, none were really rare even.
1:47 What has that two-wheeled nightmare got to do with a normal, real motorcycle? 1:59 Motorcyclists do not, in general, consider scooters to be motorcycles, with the possible exception of the Rumi. 3:18 The CB72/77 a rare motorcycle? literally thousands were sold! 5:25 Of course it looked nothing like a typical Harley, it was pure Italian, without any Harley input! 7:03 That bike shown is NOT a Gold Star, the Gold Star was a single. 8:54 A 250 Ducati most definitely did NOT reach speeds over 100 mph! And the Ducati Mach 1 was was NOT a desmo! And their tanks were NOT chromium plated, but painted! In general, a rubbish video, as is usual nowadays, made by someone who knows very little about motorcycles of the past!!
They talked about the Gold Star but most of the photos were of a Royal Gold Star which was the twin and although it was / is rare, that is not the bike he was talking about. The Harley Sprint that was shown I believe was a 350 model and not the 250.
@@jamesadams2334 No, it was a BSA A10 Rocket Gold Star which they showed. You are getting confused between that and the Royal Star which was unit construction 500cc machine.
My first road bike back in1973 was a '62 TRIUMPH TIGER T110 PRE UNIT, bloody fast for a single carb motor, turns out it was a road race bike in an earlier life, too bad I never did work out the mag and holed a couple of pistons, hard lesson learned.
This guy is so full of shit that i did not finish watching. The motorcycles did not match his words and the values were completely out of line. According to him my collection of 50 - machines must be worth.......$5 million??
None of these are overly rare. A lot of jumbled together images that don't fit the narrative. Sloppy, with an irritating soundtrack, and incorrect data. I can't watch this.
I stopped watching half way through. This is the new scourge of TH-cam. AI narrated videos, with a shallow script written by someone who doesn't really know what they are talking about, using (I suspect), stock or poached footage, that often does not accurately match the script. Some interesting bikes are shown here, but this is NOT the place to learn anything useful about them. [Clicking "Don't Recommend This Channel" button in 3, 2, 1.......
I agree with all you guys out there this garbage video needs to be taken out. I'm an 83 yr old biker, had a few nice bikes in the 50s & 60s. Raced mostly Nortons & a bit of sidecar racing for 10 yrs. Then a partner and myself set up a m/cycle special parts and built mostly race machines. This was our living for i suppose about 30 + yrs. I still dabble with bikes.Got to Know a lot of people over that time. A friend and myself have tried selling a BSA Rocket gold star and a DBD 34 Gold Star, both in really good original condition, the so called price tag that these bikes should bring does not come close. I wish idiots who make videos like this should check out the miss info first.
Mach 1 wrong seat where is the original Giuliari ? fail ... headlight 130 mm was never chromed ..fail ... tack holder bracket never red fail... need the factory race kit megga phone ... wrong exaust fail...sloppy .... worst ... wrong carb need a remote float 29mm Delorto and yes I had one ...the people who do these voice overs know zip
The BSA goldstar was a 500 cc single, DBD33, not a twin as shown. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Norton, Goldstar (almost owned one, couldn't find the cash), Ducati Scrambler (had two of those)
Agree with Joe entirely and really sick of so called experts putting these garbage vids up. Get your facts right!
1959 Triumph Bonneville or BSA Lightening

These guys post trash hoping for comments.
