I watched the first 10 min when it was first uploaded and decided it was too good to watch in one sitting, came back later to see it had been deleted. Thank you USGA!
He has an excellent chance to become the first player to three-peat actually. When he is on he is tough because he has both length and good recovery skills.
Davis Coughlin For real, people be like “he violated the spirit of the game” and I’m like “when did golf become a fucking religion, the dude was pissed off and frustrated and touched a ball with a club”
Tbh strategically it wasn’t a horrible move because that ball would have rolled past and off the green so if he had made that putt that was moving he actually would probably Have done the same or even better instead of letting it go all the way down
@@choide19 Golf is an honorable game, and hitting his ball whist still moving is poor sportsmanship. I agree he did it out of frustration. Also, I question your commitment to Golf if you don't consider it a religion.
While I agree that he didn't do anything wrong (the rules say if X then Y, and Phil took exactly what came with it, no idea how people think he's cheating). It was most certainly not to his advantage, instead of chipping his 6th back up the hill, he was putting for 9, definitely worse off
Fleetwood's 63 is the biggest charge on a final round I've ever seen. Even if the course was set a little easier and weather was not as brutal. That was wild golf
It's so tough to defend the US Open because it's the toughest test of golf each year, so to play 8 consecutive rounds where you hold it together only happens every 30 or so years.
@29:36 If they played the full interview of Phil's explanation of why he did, it actually makes sense. He knew the ball would roll all the way down by the bunker and would have to chip it on the green again, and he just didn't want to do that again. . I don't see how Paul Azingwr would think that was a lie. I mean, you can see Phil watching the putt, then he runs when realizes that the ball was not going to stop. So he was taking advantage of the rules since he knew he was out of contention.
Brooks represents Erin Hills, they said it was a fake US Open, why go there? Brooks won there and then went to one of the iconic venues and won it again. Whether he knows it or not, he legitimized Erin Hills. Let’s go Brooksy.
These US open documentaries made by the USGA have been getting better and better every year, but the USGA under Mike ($$money bags$$) Davis has still been a disgrace, Fox should give up the rights to the US open because they are doing nothing good for the game of golf. Most of their announcers were all C players at best and Joe Buck has no business on a golf course. Golf should not be broadcast like it's fucking NASCAR. Great job Mike destroying the tradition of this tournament, in the early 90s this was the one I looked forward to every year the most, not anymore, it's now the Masters and the Television coverage is a small reason for that as well.
I remember watching last year and I was just as frustrated with the greens as the pros playing them. The greens were so tough that along with the wind it was not fun to watch. I like the course but poor choice of venue for the Open
Not a poor choice, they just didn't make the right decisions for the greens in round 3. The venue was perfect, the USGA just needs to handle it better and let the course play normally and not try to make it to tough
As impressive as The Masters and "The Open" are, the U.S. open and to a degree, The PGA are set up to be as realistically difficult as possible. For Brooks to win those four (and eventually a fifth) is arguably more impressive than winning the same amount of the other two.
With bad conditions, you can either boohoo about it or use it to your advantage. Keep your cool. Be smart. Cut your losses. Take your medicine. And hope that along with your talent, your cool head puts you over the top.
They have taken this "toughest test in golf" thing too far. A tough golf course should be about good course design not scalping and dehydrating the greens. The USGA needs to reassess how they set up golf courses.
Tommy's putt on 18 for a 62 hits something about 18 inches out and kicked it right. Perfect line and stroke - rub of the green. Too bad. That record would likely have stood for a long time.
Thank you USGA for the quality documentaries.

A tradition unlike any other
Lol FUCK the British open. US Open goes for tits up.
curious to see all the new guys who complain 24/7 play winged foot in a coupe of weeks... they gonna get absolutely fucked by the course
Curtis Strange 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
blackout
i feel like i just listened to a long episode of Entourage where Eric reads a script to Vinny about him playing a golfer lol😂😂
Thank you couldn’t figure out who’s voice this was and you made it very easy
You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this 😍😍
Brook's mentality to keep things simple while others fall to the pressure is something of just pure greatness.
FINALLYYYYYYYY KEEP DOING THESE EVERY YEAR THANK YOU!!!!
I watched the first 10 min when it was first uploaded and decided it was too good to watch in one sitting, came back later to see it had been deleted. Thank you USGA!
Thanks for hanging with us! It's here to stay!
Love how salty the usga was on mickelson hitting the moving ball, that was classic 😂. Respect to koepka, hell of a player
Thank you for getting this one done. '15, 16' and '17 are a great watch...been looking forward to this one for a while now.
I mowed 2 and 17 greens twice a day for the 3 practice rounds and all 4 days of the Tournament. Awesome experience.
I noticed the video never said the true winner of the U.S Open and that was Dave Portnoy 3 under
One bite, everybody knows the rules
364 mulligans, everybody knows the rules
Best US Open venue in the last decade. USGA set it up perfectly 😍
I noticed I have never seen Tiger not be humble in an interview, he always seems grateful.
He was one of my favorite golfers but now that I know he fishes too he’s definitely my favorite
Cam Smith loves his fishing too. And LIV gives them much more time to do it.
These are great, Brooks is the man
Any reaction to a Phil's antics other than "lol we've all been there" is pathetic.
The guy is humble and a great player. A nice combination.
Humble? 😂
23:29 A great attitude to have from Brooks' caddie
He has an excellent chance to become the first player to three-peat actually. When he is on he is tough because he has both length and good recovery skills.
I love these
Did "E" from Entourage narrate this or am I taking crazy pills?????
You got it, Kevin Connolly it is!
Read the opening credits.
bro hahahaha
Thank God its not JOhnny
Hah it is E! I was thinking wtf pizza boy made it!
love these videos, greetings from germany
YAY!!! Been waiting for this vid for awhile
39:53 wow best shot all tournament and kept it below pin. Shot Screams confidence ...
This video is back like Brooks Koepka.
God the USGA is acting like Phil committed murder out there on Saturday
Ridiculous

@@gpearson27 😂I am pretty religious about this game now that you mention it
Phil used the rules to his advantage. Golf needs these moments to keep the game interesting.

33:39 sums up this us open
Talking Rubbish hell yea it does. Jesus that was crazy
It was an extremely entertaining competition. Hopefully it’s similar this year. Nice to see over par winning an event every now and then
What Phil was trying to accomplish at 27:59. This is championship dude 🙌 It will go down to last second when Brooks is playing well....
First this dude goes back-to-back at the US Open, then he says “hold my trophy” and does the same thing at the PGA Championship this man is the GOAT
he’s more of a future goat. current legend
Fleetwood's 63 is the biggest charge on a final round I've ever seen. Even if the course was set a little easier and weather was not as brutal. That was wild golf
Sure, but he had nothing to lose…
Much harder defending the lead and a repeat.
USGA set it up impossible....better to ask for forgiveness than permission lol....
JK it should be impossibly difficult.
I wish I was so good,I could say I want it to play tough
Only four minutes in but i love that Kevin Connolly is narrating the video.

Brooks koepka he just does things simple.
Amazing doco
This man tore ligaments in his wrist and still was looking swoll af compared to 2017. Brooks is a BEAST

Seeing pros make double bogey from the middle of the fairway will ensure that I never ever throw another club. #golfishard
FINALLY!!!!

USGA : Makes Great documentaries
Also USGA : We had too much wind and the golf was too hard.
Me : isnt it... supposed to be... difficult?
Difficult, not impossible…
When perfect shots 3 feet from the cup end up out of the green, it’s simply not fair.

FINALLY LETS GO
Phil just showed us how golf can be so brutal. So I understand
Kevin Connolly with the VO! Way to go USGA!
This was just weeks before Dustin Johnson showed full confidence & potential.
Think Lee Westwood beats Fowler to best player never to win a major.
Colin montgomerie too i think
I still think Fowler will win one
@@TheSnakey93how good can one be if you never win a single PGA tour event

Making the cut at 6 over? 😳😳😳 that course and conditions must of been insane.

Can’t wait for the Gary woodland episode
"E" from Entourage!?
You got it!
Great narrating voice on Kevin Connolly.
Anyone know what kind of boat that is,
Yellowfin

Is that e from entourage narrating?
When you put physical strength together with mental strength then you have one hell of a golfer
If there was anyone that was ever due a US Open win it’s Phil Mickelson. 6 time runner up has got to sting a little bit
Brooks win many more......
Phil hitting his putt back to the hole was wrong, but the pressure got to him big time.
Never mind. It's Kevin Connolly.
They have taken this "toughest test in golf" thing too far. A tough golf course should be about good course design not scalping and dehydrating the greens. The USGA needs to reassess how they set up golf courses.
LOL the "booooooo" at 33:41
waiting for the whole entourage crew to chime in while listening to E ;)
What was that at 3:00?!!!
Someone please tell Brooks it is FRustrate, no FLustrate.
He did go to FSU. Not exactly an academic powerhouse
Is the narrator that guy from Entourage? Eric?
Finally where were you
Tommy's putt on 18 for a 62 hits something about 18 inches out and kicked it right. Perfect line and stroke - rub of the green. Too bad. That record would likely have stood for a long time.
LACC says hold my beer. Two guys dropped 62s
my grandpa (RIP) lived in Southampton, the woods down the block from his house led to the 12th hole, would go there as a kid and putt on the green.
is that E from entourage????
yo is that E from entourage? the homie!!!!!
I heard the players hated the atmosphere here between the phones and all the obnoxious guidos
Who the heck is doing the texting?😂
rad
The best championship you can play in is called AUGUSTA...
REUPLOAD
He talks like Jim Halpert
When Joe Buck is more enthusiastic in golf then baseball or football.
I can feel it in my shoulder nerves right now
Poor Phil. The media just eats crap up. Golf can do that to anyone.
They act like the know exactly what is going on in his head. Give me a break
Please don't bring back that mic in the cup. Like nails on a chalkboard.
They're pros for a reason make it hard on them, USGA being soft
Crazy you uploaded this like 2 months ago and then deleted it, why you gotta do me like that USGA comeonbruh
It's here to stay now!

So weird seeing Dustin without a hat lol
is that Kevin Connolly narrating?
I love that these documentaries always skip over bubba😂
Is this narrated by E???
Sounds to me like Kevin Connolly is narrating this, am I on crack?
Michael S. It’s him
Brooks kept playing while course was burning fast and windy. Phil gave up.

holy shit i googled it and it is E from entourage
