yeah some times im not sure bout the metal detectors, been tempted to get one but from lower to mid to higher grade they all seem to have issues now n than... im not sure...
FIFE IS A VERY HISTORICAL PLACE SURPRISED YOU NEVER GOT HAMMERED OR ROMAN CAN I ASK WHERE YOU FOUND YOUR BOTTLE AS YOU MAY A BEEN GETTING HIGH SIGNALS AS BOTTLE DUMPS HERE CONTAIN HIGH IRON CONTENT ID A RATED THAT BOTTLES 1900S DID YOU KEEP IT?
Well I didn't get to detect much due to my detector going bananas from the saltwater, but did get some neat finds there in the backyard in Stirling. No hammered or romans, maybe next time! I didn't have a permission on a field that would've been really cool. I found the bottle next to a field in a forest north of Burntisland in a public forest. I did not keep anything I found, I put it back right were i found it. Thanks for watching!
Fun video Shane! Spent some time in Scotland a few years ago at the British Open in St. Andrews. The weather is so crazy there. In July on the last day of the Open, we had rain, some snow, fog, and then a clear blue sky. Would go back there in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing.
I had an old old fella tell me once that Arran (island on west coast of Scotland) was loaded with gold but never gave it a second thought. Just found this channel and love it...hope Scotland treated you well. If you are ever back the first round is on me:)
Thanks for taking me to the beach, bit rocky and rough underfoot, the potential for finds were good, equipment let us down but we had a good time, hope you had a good experience today.
Hi Shane,,so u took that trip u said u were gonna a few months ago.. Awesome..u lucky guy..lol..Hey as of Jan 31, I , Melva V is now owner of 56 acres of Land in Pine Ridge & Ogala South Dakota.. My mother owned 365 acres . it got split with my twin and sisters..I will be taking a trip out there and on way back. were gonna visit co. as well. i can't wait till it starts warming up..its been soo cold over here..thanks for sharing..till next time..peace ..out...
I'm down in Ireland and my 300i has been acting like that in a few places as well. Not sure if it's vicinity to a cell tower or power lines, or just mineral(iron) rich soil.
OMG it is so beautiful there, what a joy. Me and my son love mudlarking, your video is fantastic, so informative and interesting. Love the birdsong in the background and the lovely music.
I did visit London last April and stayed in a hotel right along the Thames. Unfortunately I didn't have a flashlight so I couldn't see anything that night. Next time for sure I will! Thanks for commenting!
Hey Jason, The exact one I have is discontinued, but if you check the links of the videos where I'm using it, you'll find Amazon links to the closest thing I could find to it. Thanks for watching!
I had this similar problem (crazy beeps for no reason) and found this factory reset to be helpful, press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds until you hear a double beep, Give that a try.
Really high quality viewing experience! It was enjoyable to watch but it made me miss detecting in gold country for you haha. Those were some pretty dark looking rocks, did you happen to see anything that looked like kimberlite or brecciated rock at all? Looks like winter is finally ready to release her grip next week.
Thanks and yeah I did begin to miss Colorado as well while I was there. Not sure if they were kimberlites I didn't really pay attention sorry ! Thanks for watching!
Razor clam shell. Delicious, fresh! The broken shells you held up were Buccinidae. The one with the barnacle on its dorsum looked like Lussivolutopsis. Put that carrot on a key leash, amigo. Sorry that the unreliability of the AT Pro diminished your enjoyment of the trip! That is really sad - and it is hard to take a back-up with you on a trip. Yeah, you need at least an Equinox, for those salt beaches.
Yeah I do. Well good news is the detector started working the following day and I got hooked up with a killer permission on a battlefield from 1297, so it all worked out. Stay tuned for that video in 3 days and thanks for watching@!
That old James Bisset bottle is not common. I tried giving it a google and found only newer looking ones. Looks like the used them to make ginger beer. Go figure.
If you go to the Cairngorm mountains, very rarely you can find smoky quartz, and even more rarely beryl and topaz. However, despite just being smoky quartz, Cairngorm quartz has a very high value as it's so rare, and was queen victorias favourite stone
Thanks Mudswat - yeah I've sent it in before and it was free to fix. It's just the fact that it needs to be sent back (well it doesn't ...since it does actually work now again!) but thanks for watching and writing.
Klesh... while I totally respect the lone wolf traveling you have embarked on, I would have totally come to Scotland with you man!!! It is definitely a place to see on my bucket list
Come to Falkirk been a few battles around here Wallace/ English ect the exact site is not positively identified as yet / and battle of Falkirk muir / jacobites thanks interesting video 👍
I really do enjoy to watch your videos, and i think that now youre actually by now my favourite metal detecting/gold prospector on youtube.I have an cool idea when i will start do do my own videos and going to the Polish mountains,im gonna send you a package with some paydirt like 2-3 pounds to review on your channel, that will be also a super souvenir for ya.But the shipping is going to be extremely expensive, but still i think thats a good idea to get some paydirt out of poland as a gift too.I think i saw one time the shipping adress to you on some of your videos
Hey Pan, thanks that's really cool to hear! If you send it, just send 1/2 pound so it's not so expensive. Maybe that would be better? I would do a review on it for sure and I'm sure everyone would like to see that video as well. Thanks for watching and glad you're enjoying my videos! You can email me sjklesh@gmail.com for my mailing address (I am moving so it might be different than the one you've seen on here)!
Seeing the Ocean low tide like that brings back memories from when I was England in 1959 and 1960, my mother was from England, my Mom and Dad met during WWII, I was born in the States, but my Mom wanted to move back to England so in 1959 my Mom and I went there, I guess to scope things out, then in 1960 we moved there, but my Dad could not find a job so we ended up moving back to Iowa. I went to the Ocean a couple times and it was awesome when it was low tide, you could walk forever before getting to the deep water. I remember that huge Rippled beach. They used to have trams all over back then and steam locomotives pulling passenger trains. I remember they used to have Fish shops right by the Ocean and Fresh fish hanging outside, even large Lobsters. I do remember smells from there that bring back memories. Was was really neat. But I am Living in Florida now and there is No Gold here (not in Florida Ground) unless you find an old ship wreck.
im half french half Scots and my dad was a seafood chef (hence him falling in love not only with the old dear but firstly Scottish seafood lol) and he would catch razor clams by looking on beach for their little clues of where they are under the sand. He would then pour salt into their hiding place, mimicking the salt water from the sea coming in at high tide.... they come SHOOTING up out the sand like rockets! lol. And taste delicious btw
Got a good deal on a flight and knew I'd have some good opportunity for videos there, it was totally a great place to visit and I'd go back anytime. Thanks for writing and for watching!
walked that beach/kinghorn beach right long past Dysart many times in my teen years, you should try down the Dysart costal from the harbour along to the old mine :) ive found many things on that part of beach in my young years including a very old Sgian-dubh among other things, the sea is eroding it away each year so many new things will turn up i expect :) Also if your still in fife "try" blacksands [the aberdour locals beach] NOT the public beach "silversands" :) its a 2bd beach not many know about and its beautiful out there in the Summertime!!!
I suggest before you go on a trip, set up a gathering or meeting of someone in that country or meetings. Not long ago, chiggs. N several ppl went to England on group hunts. Plus had a very recent gathering in Texas. They found very old coins in englad n texas you won prizes, coins, jewelry and civil war items..if you found a certain tokens. You also win a prize. Plus drawings n more. All by Garrett. Maybe ML will hv one. Btw. Did you get the newest pinpointer by ML ? The 35. It discriminates iron vs not. Maybe Xray stuff messed up the detector.. As long as you hv fun. Btw. Other ppl i watch with patreon vids show them to public about 4 days to a week later then public ones.. so you still get additional views.
Hi Annette, I know. I don't like setting up meetings or anything. That goes against what this hobby is for me. I really don't care about finding old coins or prizes or anything, I just like getting out there and away from everything and everyone that's what it's all about for me. My Garrett AT Pro is better now and the next day I did some metal detecting in a very historical area and it worked fine, so that was great! You might enjoy that video a bit more. On Patreon I have video specifically for Patreon supporters of the channel ($1 per month pledge) and also release all my videos as soon as they're edited and rendered directly to Patreon for the $5 per month pledges. Thanks for writing and watching!
You need to go metal detecting in a roman field in the UK. Would also be interesting for you to do another video of the value of all the gold you have collected .... just a thought. Great videos!
The next video is coming in 3 days with some metal detecting in a pretty sweet area in the UK, I think you'll like it. All the gold I've collected is mostly already given away to those that visit my live streams on KleshGuitars TV, but I still have a good amount left. The best way get a total would be to actually go through my videos and add up the gold totals I suppose! Thanks for watching!
the bottle was blown to the shape of 2, 1/2 molds, mechanical insertion of a needle to the cork end of the bottle and then compressed air is forced into the molten glass inside the molds to expand the molten glass and end thus the engravings on the outside of the bottle.
That pulltab top is probly an old coors lid. keep it comin! My detector acts up when the batteries are low but not sure what happens on those nice AT Pro machines.

This video's beach location reminds me of a Scottish mudlarking duo (mother and daughter) I watch on TH-cam. They search beaches for sea glass and forage Scottish dumps for relics. Just last month (April 2022) they found a 1906 half sovereign (gold coin) at an old dump site. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime find.
I Love seeing the videos from Scotland. Just amazing country, doesn't matter where you go. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
You are absolutely right of course! I might be biased though!
yeah some times im not sure bout the metal detectors, been tempted to get one but from lower to mid to higher grade they all seem to have issues now n than... im not sure...
Well this detector isn't meant for saltwater so it's my fault really. The detector works fine now. Thanks for watching

That is great to hear. I would go back to Krakow in Poland or Solvenia any time too.
APPRECIATE THE VIDEOS OF YOUR TRIP, GOT TO SEE PLACES WILL PROBABLY NEVER GET TO VISIT. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
Thanks for watching!
I had an old old fella tell me once that Arran (island on west coast of Scotland) was loaded with gold but never gave it a second thought. Just found this channel and love it...hope Scotland treated you well. If you are ever back the first round is on me:)
Nice, glad you like my videos and I'll take you up on the offer next time I'm in the UK!
I had no idea that you needed different detectors for different water types. What needs to be different?
yeah Pulse induction machines work for saltwater not VLf machines like the AT Pro.
Thanks for taking me to the beach, bit rocky and rough underfoot, the potential for finds were good, equipment let us down but we had a good time, hope you had a good experience today.
Yah was definitely a good time regardless of the outcome, as usual! Thanks for watching
So...what’d you do with the shove when you left Scotland? Did it fit in your luggage or did you leave it for housekeeping?
I left it in the parking lot at the Inverness Airport, up against a tree near a garbage can. Hopefully someone wants it Lol good question
LOL! I have had to Airport prioritize a few times. I flew back from NY state with nearly 90 lb. of rocks in 2004, to Oregon.

Sweet! Yeah it was a good trip. It's warming up here in CO so won't be long before the rest of the country is nice too. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Millie Warham for watching!
fun exploring Scotland with you, from my nice warm living room haha
Yeah I was wishing I was in a living room sometimes while I was there ! Thanks for watching
You should come to London and mudlark along the Thames. My fav thing to do on the weekend, I find so many interesting things!!
I did visit London last April and stayed in a hotel right along the Thames. Unfortunately I didn't have a flashlight so I couldn't see anything that night. Next time for sure I will! Thanks for commenting!
Me too! 😍
How long did it take to train the birds. At least you had fun.
Lol thanks for watching
Hey Klesh! Where can I get a back pack like the one you use for your buckets and such? Thanks buddy! Keep up the awesome vids!

KleshGuitars Awesome, thanks!
Sure man
Thanks for showing how to do it. I still have a yearning to give one a try. Have you watched The Detectorists yet? I loved it. Netflix.
Thanks Terry McGeary for watching!
lot of iron finds ... maybe from boats ? Tropical shells were used in the XVII XVII centuries to put weight in the bottom of ships
Oh cool! Yeah maybe it was from boats. Who knows? Thanks for watching!
I had this similar problem (crazy beeps for no reason) and found this factory reset to be helpful, press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds until you hear a double beep, Give that a try.
Yeah, the factory reset didn't work either, but on the next video (shot the next day)....it works!
Haha loved the bagpipes!, another braw video, cheers 👌
It sounded much louder in real life, too bad.
Great video lovely part of the country thanks for 5aking us along

The iron is ww2 anti glider defence spikes.
if you have a mobile phone turned on when detecting it can interfere with the detector giving you the sound your getting, try turning your phone off
That among other things such as mineralized ground, electrical lines, saltwater etc. Thanks for watching!
Garrett has great customer service, they'll fix your machine. You should send it in while you can. Keep @ it and HH!!
Thanks Mudswat - yeah I've sent it in before and it was free to fix. It's just the fact that it needs to be sent back (well it doesn't ...since it does actually work now again!) but thanks for watching and writing.
i think you were just picking up the background radiation of Fife, its the twilight zone of Scotland :P
Also:- Burntisland is next to Rosyth naval dockyard, full of radar, nuclear dubs, electronic equipment etc...? 🤔
My Garret gti2500 does the very same thing after trying to metal detect at the beach. Please let us know if Garret fix it
Garrett did not fix it, and I have since moved onto Minelab metal detectors - best decision I ever made !~
Did they say why they couldn’t fix it
I've really enjoyed the videos of your trip.
I enjoyed making them for you and thanks for watching!

Hi Shane : ) Thanks for sharing your trip and adventures. HH
Thanks for watching!
Bummer man that really suck sorry you had issues with the AT Pro. Good video Still.
Yeah, it's not the machine's fault really. They aren't meant for saltwater so It's mostly my fault. Still fun. Thanks for watching!
I was about to click on a mudlarking video and was super pleased to see it was a video by YOU!
Thanks :)
I live in Burntisland and the hill you detected is an old Volcano
im half french half Scots and my dad was a seafood chef (hence him falling in love not only with the old dear but firstly Scottish seafood lol) and he would catch razor clams by looking on beach for their little clues of where they are under the sand. Was cool to see someone mudlarking in my hometown, love your videos!😊
Did you keep the old bottle?
Nope, barely had room for my own luggage to bring back to the US.
Cool adventures brother!
Thanks!
Taking my daughters dogs down to the beach tomorrow at Burntisland they love to dig in the sand then I scan with my metal detector
Good luck!
I think it would be easier to use the metal detector in pinpoint mode and ignore the surface iron
great video dude
Thanks
I hope My AT pro dosent start acting up like that I have had it for over 4 years now but havent used it for the last two.. Thanks
Yeah It's unpredictable but for the most part it's been good to me. Thanks fo rwatching!
I know what happened - you went for the pinpointer and a sneaky Fifer came and knicked the copper wire out your detector!
Beautiful area, glad the detector is ok.
Thanks!
Burntisland is my hometown and I love this
Is that the Kingswood hotel you stayed in
No I was staying in Dunfermline and just visited Burntisland for the day , I loved it as well!
that Bissett bottle is fantastic
I was happy with finding it. I left it there for the next person to find.
Great video!! Why did you choose Scotland 🏴 for your trip?
Got a good deal on a flight and knew I'd have some good opportunity for videos there, it was totally a great place to visit and I'd go back anytime. Thanks for writing and for watching!
That's what we like to hear over here! :-)
Dang machine. Wished it worked for ya. Cool exploration though.
thanks yeah it was still fun
Looks like you had a blast over there thanks fot taking us on your adventure👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching~!
walked that beach/kinghorn beach right long past Dysart many times in my teen years, you should try down the Dysart costal from the harbour along to the old mine :) ive found many things on that part of beach in my young years including a very old Sgian-dubh among other things, the sea is eroding it away each year so many new things will turn up i expect :) Also if your still in fife "try" blacksands [the aberdour locals beach] NOT the public beach "silversands" :) its a 2bd beach not many know about and its beautiful out there in the Summertime!!!
I will keep that in mind for my next trip thank you!
I've watched a video of some Scottish bloke mudlarking on the beach u found the 5p!
Nice!
4:53 Crab in snail shell.
I think you're right, I missed it when I was there Lol
Winkles are the little snails and u can buy a cup of them to eat!
I see, I don't think I'd eat one there was lots of disgusting things on the beach Lol. Maybe after boiling them if I was in a survival situation..
Send that back Garrett for repairs I am sure you don't want to loose a good find
it works fine now, of course. I plan on upgrading soon
Few years late, but a shame about the detector, who knows what might have been around that old foundation.
Pity about your metal detector not working properly I could have given you a loan of mine I stay in Burntisland.
Thank you Peter Johnson maybe next time!

The seem on bottles means that they were moulded and not blown.
the bottle was blown to the shape of 2, 1/2 molds, mechanical insertion of a needle to the cork end of the bottle and then compressed air is forced into the molten glass inside the molds to expand the molten glass and end thus the engravings on the outside of the bottle.

Thanks JINX JONES glad you enjoyed it!
Always tries to get away.
He just tried to get away from me. Little son of a cigrit.
What?!? No Coors cans?!?
im guessing ye had a little 2 much scottish whiskey the night before :-)
No drinking when I was there, except for a few pints with my meals. I should've tried some scotch though while I was there!
paul johnson there’s no ‘e’ in Scottish whisky 🥃
That's a big coin
Thanks for watching!
Maybe you'll find a sand dollar 😉👍
Haha! Good one!
Nice vid... pitty of the failure in your equipment..... Weather was not that nice for just laying at the sand of the beach...
Thanks!
not snails, winkles I think they are very edible
.
Oh I didn't know thank you!
Awesome..good stuff.

Time for an AT Max!
Minelab upgrade in the works, thanks for watching!

Thank you peekeyeseek!
@@Klesh Cheers.
I've never had the guts to eat them. My Dad and my sister used to eat them, they'd pick them oot with a safety pin and eat them raw. 😭🤢🤮
I’ve been there live not to far away
It's an amazing place, can't wait to visit Burntisland / Dunfermline again!
God bless Scotland
It's a great place thanks for watching
I told you to rid off of this toy garret detector and buy something real like Minelab equinox 800 or Xp deus for exapmle.
The Equinox 800 is coming! Thanks for watching!
No no no - you need the Minelab SDC 2300. It's a ripper - in water and out!
But the price is ripper also!
It will pay itself off real quick. That's why it's a little ripper!
Yes , but after 20 years.

Just last month (April 2022) they found a 1906 half sovereign (gold coin) at an old dump site. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime find.
