Yes still in PT🥴 I have had to learn a lot of patience! Faster is not better in recovery. They told me it will be 8-12 months before I have full range of motion and strength back. So I take it a day at a time. I miss my little nugget so much🥹 I plan on as many snuggles as she will give me while I am there. She is 3 and has boundless energy, so her staying still longer than a few seconds is rare! Miss you friend❤️
My first quilt was a log cabin. When you get ready to sew you might want to use a project board to organize the strips while sewing the log cabin block together. I'm so excited that you were able to find that quilt. I also have seen that beautiful quilt on Pumpkin Hallows flosstube. You have been missed. Enjoy time with family and friends.

I’ve missed you,girl! Glad you’re back. I had shoulder surgery in July! And you’re right, it was awful. Bone on bone, waited too long, rotator cuff was involved. Pieces of bone, had to reattach tendon to bicep. Anyway, yes, it was brutal. Glad you’re feeling better!!

Advice from a highly experienced quilter - the ziplocks bags are perfect!!! Just remember the most important part of quilting is to make sure to have a SCANT 1/4” seam. Have your machine set up for this. There is a ruler that has holes in it to help you set it up. But since you are working in a quilt shop, you probably already know this. I can’t wait to see your finished quilt!
Thanks for the encouragement on the bags😁 Yes, I have a ruler and a 1/4 in foot with a guide on it to help me. I have really enjoyed making the few I have made so far, as if I needed another hobby😂 Thank you so much for watching, and taking the time to respond. I am always up for tricks and tips to help me!!

I had rotator cuff surgery, you are right about it being the worst pain, way above my major abdominal surgery, and knee replacement.. I heal too fast and ended up with a frozen shoulder rehab took an additional 2 months. Same thing with knee…. I wish they would have had that pump when I had my shoulder done. Nothing worse than falling asleep and the pain getting ahead of you. I slept in a platform rocker for a month. Your stitching is amazing and wow how you remember counts, colors of floss and fabric colors and count. So very good to see you. Take care and continue to mend.
Wow you had a hard recovery for sure!!! Shoulder surgery is just miserable all around! I was so worried about getting a frozen shoulder thankfully my PT kept on top of it. PT is a whole other torture itself😂 Thank you for taking the time to watch and your kind words❤️ My brain is awful most the time but thankfully I remember my linen😂
This was such a fun Flosstube! I'm so sorry you had to go through shoulder surgery and all that pain. I have frozen shoulder and can maybe relate a tad bit because it's very painful, especially trying to sleep. Love all your stitching, and I want to do it all!! Glad to see you back on flosstube! I have a grandson in FL & I live in PA. My daughter & her husband are moving to FL from PA & taking our granddaughter😢. A 2 hour flight gets me there as often as I can-working 12 hour shifts as a nurse definitely helps me find time to go.
It was great to watch your video. I had no idea at Stitch Con that your shoulder surgery was so recent. You were so cheerful and friendly. Thank you so much for your kind words about my quilting. I enjoyed making everything for you. You organized the strips for Star & Stripes perfectly. There is a way to place the pieces next to you when you sit down to sew so that you sew them in the correct order. You’ll be able to chain piece so it should go quickly.

I've had 2 shoulder surgeries (rotator cuff and labrum) but not like yours! liking your 'enlargement' of the patterns for pillows. Looks like you are stitching 1 over 2? I hate doing that. I think there is a 7 or 10 ct davos that I could do. Enjoy visiting with your family!!!!
I had rotator cuff surgery on my left side and then 2 years later I had a total reverse shoulder replacement on my right shoulder. I wasn’t in pain but I hated the PT! I took pain meds for 2 days and then quit. I guess I was pretty lucky. I’ve been to Mason. I don’t know if youv’e heard about the Air Force plane that crashed July 13, 1950 (I know you are not that old) in a field outside Mason but my Dad was on that plane, they were on their way to England. My Mom was left with 4 kids, 8 months to 8 years of age. My brother got in touch with Dwight Rowe from Mason who did a story for the historical society and Sally Sherman Caudill has put on several presentations about the crash. We were able to go Mason in May 2022 and Dwight took my husband and me out to the field and we picked up parts of the plane. All three of our kids and a grandson went the year before us, I couldn’t go then because my husband came down with covid, they FaceTimed me so I could watch the original presentation. My only surviving brother was there at the same time the kids were. We were both presented with a beautiful plaque that had all the guys names on it. I will forever be indebted to Dwight and Sally for what they did for us. I loved the town but didn’t have time to look around very much. I would love to go back one of these days, I would definitely look up that embroidery store! So glad you are doing well and back on TH-cam!

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad at such a young age. How wonderful that your brother was able to come out, and was able to FT you! If you ever make it out this way let me know! Thank you Karen!! The flag is on Davos which is an 18ct even-weave and I honestly don’t know what the flowers are on. It is just what Teri handed me at Shepherds Bush. If you call them they should know. It is natural oatmeal color. I am going to assume an 18-20ct.
Welcome back! Did you ever finish your mini Shepherd’s Bush stocking? Did you stitch a name at the top of it? I stitched one in miniature, and now I’m stitching just the Santa 1x1 and will make it a snow globe ornament finish. So cute!
I think Kansas is beautiful too😁 I was referring to the time it takes to drive across the western plains. It is a long 27 hr drive to get to my family in UT so I will take flying over driving any day!!

Yay!. I remember you!! I use Davos for my Prairie Schooler Santas and it's 18 count. I'm not sure if that's the only size they have.
