Many years ago, I had a very bad case of eczema on my hands. Everything I applied to the rash made my skin itch and burn. Because of allergy worries, the dermatologist asked me if I was able to eat pork products, and I told him I could eat pork. He recommended that I slather lard on my hands to soften the skin, then wrap my hands in gauze. It was very soothing. I did this for about a week and my hands healed up beautifully.

I don't think asking the opinions of someone who produces lard for a living, and then comparing lard to butter, is going to tell you very much about whether lard is healthy or not.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
