  • It's like Bodie & Doyle - except it's Childerley & Doyle. And what mission is Paul Childerley and Jason Doyle undertaking? They have got to move around 400 geese off a farmer's stubble field. They do that, dropping more than 60 on the way. Meanwhile, Roger Lait has got a rabbit and fox problem in Essex, and is out with a an AR-style .223 and the latest Pulsar night vision. News and Hunting TH-cam complete the round-up for this week's #FieldsportsBritain

    Another good show Charlie, keep the videos rolling as i do enjoy the informative entertainment. When I saw Jason Doyle, I stopped and said to myself, "wait a minute, what's Jason doing here on Fieldsports Britain", but I'm glad he is.

    A great comment at the end Charlie. It's a shame that the majority of people don't know or understand this !

    The fire fighting clip was from Houston; pronounced Hyoo-ston or How-ston. Just a tip. Great job on the show!

    It is also a bolt action rifle. Assault rifles are fully automatic

    Yes trophy hunting is important economically and very enjoyable for us, the hunters. The film of FSA showed very little of the hunt itself and the aftermath, we just saw a tubby American strolling up on a Hippo and slotting it, then saying what an adrenalin rush it all was....... maybe editing and back story let this vid down somewhat. Clarity is key Charlie, speaking of which, what's the go with your focus? lol Cheers Moose.

      +MOOSEDOWNUNDER Thanks for this. Good points we will take onboard... Coming up: a hostage situation. Focus pretty good on the Browning logo - not so good on my face. / Charlie

    I love goose shooting! But BASC guidelines say a maximum of 8 hunters over decoys how do feel about this Charlie?

      +leighd790 I didn't know about that advice - is it for reasons of sportsmanship? Safety? I think in the case of pest control - as here - you should make up your own mind how many guns to put out. / Charlie

    I'm sure it's illegal to use a semi auto shotgun that is capable of holding more than 2 cartridges in the magazine for shooting wildfowl.....

      That doesn't apply to canada geese as they class as vermin and can be shot all year round.

    It is not an assault rifle but a modern sporting rifle. Can you get the terminology. Next you'll be telling us that they take 30 round "clips". Fieldsports dropped the ball on this one. :(

      @laity69 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Steven Wolf all they are saying it's not your usual Foxing rifle . It's not a Remmi or Tikka type rifle

    • @regsparkes6507
      @regsparkes6507 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have to agree with you Steven, as shown it is NOT what is called an 'assault rifle', in fact it is bolt action sporting rifle. There is a difference. Oh and by the way, the so called 'assault rifle'(AR) is also known as an 'automatic rifle' ( AR) which, of course, self feed's but fires only when the trigger is pressed each time. Now, don't get this confused with a fully-automatic rifle.
      Either way Roger, you do have a great looking rifle there, and I am sure, it is a super cool rifle to use on those pest foxes.

      I agree 100%. Clarity is key, they will scare the Greens and busy bodies with this talk.

    • @180del

    Sorry to say that but the lion hunt you are metioning is the worst example you can possibly give! The PHASA officially banned the hunting of bread lions in southafrica because it is scientifically proven that the breading of lions doesnt help preserving them, because they cannot survive on their own so they can never get wild animals! Further more does shooting tame animals no good for the reputation of hunting in general!
    The other you said was perfectly right i would say! To me a honest trophy hunt on which you chase animals IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT is the best you can do to support africas nature which is worth to be protectet for sure. Trophy hunting means that a area can be used to make profit without puting like cattle or goats on it which would destroy the wildlifes habitat. Hunting preserves way more areas than ecotourism ever could. Its something good for people and wildlife of arfrica!

      +franz sack Thanks - lions are not a great example because of the canned lions debate - but the principle stands. / Charlie
