I am now 5 hand rolled cigars in based solely on watching your videos... my dad is an avid cigar enthusiast and was praising the quality of construction. All thanks to you !
great to hear this, as I am getting my first tobacco leaves tomorrow and I am excited to try to roll them myself. hopefully I will perform as good as you
I have tried the entubado, the accordion and the book method of bunching. The book method gives me the least trouble with canoeing and lends itself to the most even burn. It also allows me to position the tobacco that will not burn quickly into the exact center of the bunch. Like most habits you develop in cigar rolling, this works best for me.
That's great that you've found a method that works for you. I've often heard of people who had trouble with other methods but then found success with book bunching.
My grandfather used to roll cigars in Chicago in the 1920s he taught me how the leaf fill was just for smoken the middle leaf was the flavor and outer leaf was for show.
I had an idea i hope you dont mind hearing it, you could do videos of you rolling and then smoking, or even just smoking I think people would like it. I personally find such things to be calming. I like to watch videos like that especially with music that i typically put on myself and turn the sound off on the video.
Well, I don't get my leaf from TLS. Some from WLT, most from private sources; but I often get dry skrunkled up sticks and it's just a matter of prepping the leaf correctly, as is always the case.
For leaves and such you can try wholeleaftobacco.com, leafonly.com, and totalleafsupply.com. Most of those places have the glue, too (Bermocoll). The cutters, called tuck cutters, and the knife (chaveta), you have to look on ebay and Etsy and maybe Bobalu Cigars. For the molds, either ebay or Etsy (Hondurascrafts).
Whats the clear stuff you use as glue? Just got gifted a few cigars. Its been years, looking forward to sharing them with friends. Beautiful work. Been a hand roller for years. Would love to try and roll a cigar one day.
Got any advice, because after I roll my cigar and got to smoke it, it still seems to be to moist and on the draw the whole thing kinda of collapse on itself...
Well, for starters your filler should be as try as possible and still just barely flex without breaking. Nothing else should be "moist," either. Sounds like all your fine mists weren't fully absorbed into the leaf cells before you rolled. All the leaf should be dry to the touch, but flexible as needed.
@@BlissCigarCo awesome! Thank you for your reply! Your videos are giving me an interest in rolling cigars myself. I'll need to do a lot more research though.
Another beautiful cigar! Thank you for the vids, I've learned so much on how to roll cigars over the years. I have a question... your cap cutter... is that a metal tube with a champagne cork pressed into it?

I remember watching cigars in New Orleans😊 A work of art
Which cigar place in New Orleans did you visit?
I've been there eight times and I always spend hours watching them roll.
@@spraypaintlessons855 The only place I can think of that you can watch them roll is Cigar Factory New Orleans on Decatur.
Thanks alot!
Are they're any cigar making kits for purchase that you recommend for beginners?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I just got into the cigar world and it's very exciting! Keep up the good work!

Very cool. Incredible craftsmanship.

good vibes this morning.
My grandfather used to roll cigars in Chicago in the 1920s he taught me how the leaf fill was just for smoken the middle leaf was the flavor and outer leaf was for show.
Nowadays most of the flavor comes from the outer leaf tho.

Where do you get such flat leaves from? Total leaf supply sends them super skrunkled up

For Egypt 🇪🇬 ❤️ thanks for you
I don’t know if you have went over this but where can I get cigar rolling rolling supplies such as leaves, binders, cutters and the glue you use

Go for it! It's vegetable gum called Bermocoll.
What is the glue or liquid you use to hold the ends and finishing pieces in place?
A vegetable gum called Bermocoll.
@@BlissCigarCo thank you!

@BlissCigarCo thanks for the advice, will do.
what kind of glue do you use?
Yes, I'm curious of that myself!
Same thing i was thinking.
Its vegetable gum I believe
bermocoll
@@JupiterLance Thank you.
Where can i get that tobacco leafs?
wholeleaftobacco.com
Can i use oil?
What kind of oil, and for what purpose? For the glue?
That’s a nice looking cigar. I liked how it looked before it went in the mold. Is it smokable and enjoyable to do so at that point already?
It is smokeable and enjoyable, yes. Little rougher on the tongue/lips, a lighter draw, and missing some flavor from the wrapper. But otherwise, fine.

@@hansmemling2311 You can learn pretty much everything about rolling from my videos. You just need to find a place to buy some leaf to get started.

Question, what kind of cigar glue do you use?
Thank you. I use Bermocoll.
Hello, do you use water or special glue to stick the cigar?
I use a vegetable gum called Bermocoll.
hi do u have an online store selling ur hand-rolling cigars?
No, I don't sell at all these days. I just do events and lessons.
Classic man ❤
Great work as always. Leaf from WLT or elsewhere?
Elsewhere. I get it through a friend in Nicaragua.
Ah, lucky guy
what happens to all the scraps?
They go into a bag and get rolled into short-filler (scrap) cigars.
Cigars that you give to people that you know will end up wasting them…
I l😅ve these video and then smoking a cigar right afterwards
Correct plan!

Hey Blake, do you have a shop or website? Is it just TH-cam name?
