Just a tip for infinite water sources in snowy biomes! If you place four stairs in a 2x2 square, so there is a gap in the center where the stairs dip down, and then water-log the stairs, you have a reliable infinite water source that will never freeze since ice can't occupy the same space as the stairs, but water can! On a similar note, you can also place trapdoors at the openings to the water columns going down to the Drowned killing chamber, as water-logged trapdoors also prevent the water from freezing!

I would like to apologise for claiming that they wouldn't despawn in boats. Turns out wandering traders have a different despawning algorithm to almost any other mob. Unlike other mobs, they ALWAYS despawn after 48000 ticks (40 minutes) of existing, regardless of being in a vehicle. You could still use Redstone Torches as a "light source", they're not the best, but they do stop mob spawning from any amount of light they produce. So techinically that first Glowstone pillar has the potential of 45 Redstone torches just for decoration. XD If you really want some light sources, pray that you can get 1 Coral & 1 sea pickle from a wandering trader. Surround the water with trap doors & you get street lights~
Love the series, here's a small tip, you can create a 2x2 of water to create an infinite water source, you can also prevent the water from freezing by waterlogging any block and it can still form an infinite water source, so you can place slabs in the water to prevent it from turning to ice

Imagine if minecraft was initially released with all these current features and starting on a block like this series started, and it required you to be online so nobody could datamine the game code. People would be so confused and quit playing after 15 minutes but moybe eventually someone wolud figure out how much depth can come from a simple, single block. It'd be the best puzzle game of all time
Wandering traders also sell buckets of fish, which in practice is a bucket of water, ao that would also be a viable way to get water. As opposed to the cauldron+rain+bottle method 💁♂️ I suppose it is a little too late, haha. Great video as always!
16:00 You can make infinite water by taking water with bottles out of the full Chauldron and then fill the bucket too, to have two water sources with which you can make easily infinite water.
Actually in love with this series, it's so relaxed and the upload schedule is good enough that I always find myself coming back to this channel to see if more was uploaded. Obviously though, take your time! Great things come with time.
I don't have any advice given I don't play Minecraft, but I want to say that this series is amazing! Also, I really like the ring of trees around the world, it makes everything feel more alive
If you want to save a wandering trader for later, put him into a boat and ride that boat away into an unloaded chunk. then just don't load that chunk until its time to trade. Great video!
You can place the water inside slabs (waterlog) to make an infinite water source (as long as there are blocks under the waterlogged slabs), so the water can't possibly freeze. As for the elevators, you can waterlog signs to prevent the water from freezing. So you won't need the block above
Hey dude love to see the upload, this series has been awesome! Not sure if you’ve already thought of it but I believe you can smelt down any gold tools and amor you’ve been getting from the mob farm and it will give you a nugget back. I read on the wiki that tools that use 1 gold ingot (basically just the shovel) may not give any gold so I’d be aware of that. Hopefully this saves you time so you don’t need to wait for as many lightning storms as gold apples are pretty expensive!

Really like the trees in the outside. Reminds me of old timey 2D games like sonic where u had the mountains in the background. Really nice
Name the glowstone 'Polaris'(the name of the north star) since it will guide you to home.
You could still use Redstone Torches as a "light source", they're not the best, but they do stop mob spawning from any amount of light they produce.
So techinically that first Glowstone pillar has the potential of 45 Redstone torches just for decoration. XD
If you really want some light sources, pray that you can get 1 Coral & 1 sea pickle from a wandering trader.
Surround the water with trap doors & you get street lights~
You can actually sort skeletons out! You have a wolf, and wolves scare skeletons away, so you can use this to filter them out
Love the series, here's a small tip, you can create a 2x2 of water to create an infinite water source, you can also prevent the water from freezing by waterlogging any block and it can still form an infinite water source, so you can place slabs in the water to prevent it from turning to ice
Idea for name of the glowstone - "Perun".
Because the glowstone is on the top of the church I'm think that name of slavic god of lighting is a good idea.
I think Perun would be a great name for the lightning rod when he ends up making it.
ahhh.. This is such a cool series! Can't wait for the next video!!
25:31 "Lucas" as the nickname, the full name of "Lucasta" meaning "pure light"! I had (still have actually) a void plushie, and wanted to be a smart a$$ so fancy Latin it was!
Or the feminine form: Lucia.
You can filter out (most of) the skeletons by placing a dog at their water ride. Skeletons avoid dogs, so you can redirect them.
. you can bonemeal the water in warm ocean to get corals
. in rivers you can get natural drowneds that may possess tridents
. fish mob farms are incredibly fast way to get fish to trade with villagers in skyblock
. you can't get good armour and weapons from the villagers since you can't get some for furnace and grindstone yet
he'll be able to make a raid farm and get enchanted iron armor and tools
@@adrefirebIade yeah but iron armour isn't that good and you have to make it yourself
@@DimiDzi it's the best he'll be able to get, since the armorer is locked behind stone. And no, he doesn't need to craft it. They drop it.
@@adrefirebIade who drops it because it's definitely not any of the other villager professions but if we're talking about zombie and skeleton drops it would be way easier to just get the diamond variant instead and btw if he was set on such armour for now he'd just buy paper from a wandering trader make a lot of books and overload crash regenerate a chunk with lava and go to the nether as well
@@DimiDzi I just looked it up, it's on bedrock only sadly, pillagers drop them. He really has to craft it himself 💀
If you are really worried about your water freezing, you could place slabs inside the water sources, a waterlogged slab can not turn into a block of ice. also this idea is so cool. Amazing to see how far Minecraft can be pushed. keep up the good work
Skeletons will run away from dogs.
Creepers will run away from cats.
Zombies will head towards villagers.
They can be used to sort out mobs.
Dogs require resources currently unavailable, he explains it in the videos. Cats are not needed as the creepers sorted themselves out. And the point of the farm is to get villagers in the first place. Not sure if you watched the video?
First of all, thanks a lot, brother in Christ, your series nostalgic very much, I like it a lot, really!!! Watched all of episodes right now and waiting for more!! Also I think you gonna use church as the exhibition of your legendary blocks, the new home for them, thank you once more and congrats with 50k!!!
Rooted dirt can be clicked by a shovel to turn into a path, which can be broken to turn into dirt. Then you can combine 2 dirt with 2 gravel to make 4 course dirt, which you can also click to turn into paths and back into dirt-this basically converting gravel into dirt blocks!
is there a way to get gravel?
@@NotAPolarBearXD I believe you can trade with fletcher villagers for it.
@@masonkiel According to the 1.14 villager trading table, they can only trade 10 flint for 10 emeralds and 10 gravel blocks, and trade 10 gravel blocks for 1 emerald, you can't directly trade for it
Still you can get it from WT, so matter of dedication
Just stumbled across your channel and watched every video in one sitting and was highly entertained the entire time.
Just wanted to say thank you for that. And please don't ever change your video style. Really love your chill vibes and lack of crazy editing. These are some of the most genuine feeling minecraft videos Ive seen in years. that don't just feel like a way to get clicks and make money on youtube.
Thank you brother. I am glad your enjoy them. I will continue to do my best!
For another light source you can craft redstone torches, it'll still not prevent mobs from spawning, but can add some nice climate to your buildings
It will block mobs from spawning since the change where mobs only spawn in complete darkness
even with the old lighting mechanics they were able to stop mobs from spawning with very limited range but with the new one they're as powerful as the regular were before
It actually would stop mobs from spawning, since after 1.18, mobs now require 0 light level to spawn.
@@peterlewis2178 Ooo Nice didn't knew about that, but then thats even more usefull
they require torches in the recipe. That is coal I don't have.
14:30 had my laughing till i cried! did not expect that quip lol
Maybe name the light Noah since he's right by sets of two animals (pigs, sheep, chickens etc.)
ooh, clever. could also fit the church theme
I remember a time when I ran out of coal so I could not make torches, but I had plenty of redstone so I used those instead. Only half a bright but definitely helped deep down in caves to prevent hostile mobs from spawning.
Loving the series but I was curious when do you see the series ending as in when do you just think it’s impossible to progress any further
From what I've seen you can actually just legit finish the game. You can, with blocks, create the right circumstances for end portals to appear and use them.
So hopefully the end is truly gonna be
_the end_
Bro any updates this is absolute grear challenge ive ever seen the progression you've make is amazing
W vid
Putting a wandering trader in a boat actually does work to prevent it from despawning, it just needs to be in an unloaded chunk at the same time
It’s just unloading the chunk which makes it not de spawn.
@@vieuxslave9077 the boat makes it easy to move, that's all.
@@wilboor oh yeah fair enough
The infinite water moment got me laughing out loud, you've been amazing at impossible thing and then that simple stuff and how you present it was just perfect :D
Did you die where are you?
im so glad im one of the lucky people who got to join you on this travel, im so grateful for your time and patience, as i dont see myself ever trying this, but love watching you do
To guarantee a super big oak tree, you can put 4 blocks all around the sapling, then bonemeal it a lot.
Just found ya. Coming back to that ice block was the most hilariously relatable thing. Keep it up man this is an awesome series!
I geniunely LOVE this series! Keep it up man. I hope you get more appreciation.
What a great series. Love the trees in the horizon, I think you should keep them!
Honestly I don't understand how you are able to make the end of each video feel like we all just conquered mount everest. Like I swear every time I feel this huge burst of pride and joy like I've watch my son find the cure to cancer.
A bit late to the naming party, but I'd name it David Glowie!!
Keep up the great work Monk! I love the content!
Just binged the whole series, and this is so fun! I love your genuine and friendly style! It feels like you actually enjoy doing this, which is something that we don’t see enough of these days. Keep up the amazing work!
I’m very impressed how much your editing has improved over the course of this series! Keep up the good work! (or if you got an editor that’s also a good sign of progress)
Just found this channel through my recommended and clicked on the video on a whim. Just watched the entire series, amazing stuff man
Thank you for watching. More coming soon!
I’m a 21 year old man and watching this series has made me feel like a kid watching the early Minecraft videos again 😂 love what you’re doing bro
Imagine if minecraft was initially released with all these current features and starting on a block like this series started, and it required you to be online so nobody could datamine the game code. People would be so confused and quit playing after 15 minutes but moybe eventually someone wolud figure out how much depth can come from a simple, single block. It'd be the best puzzle game of all time
You should play noita.
Wandering traders also sell buckets of fish, which in practice is a bucket of water, ao that would also be a viable way to get water. As opposed to the cauldron+rain+bottle method 💁♂️ I suppose it is a little too late, haha.
Great video as always!
Ahh, i see now
16:00 You can make infinite water by taking water with bottles out of the full Chauldron and then fill the bucket too, to have two water sources with which you can make easily infinite water.
Actually in love with this series, it's so relaxed and the upload schedule is good enough that I always find myself coming back to this channel to see if more was uploaded. Obviously though, take your time! Great things come with time.
Great vid like always, continue with the great work and you should name your first water block Adam from Adam Sandler waterboy
I don't have any advice given I don't play Minecraft, but I want to say that this series is amazing! Also, I really like the ring of trees around the world, it makes everything feel more alive
I HAVE BEEN WAITING AND WATCHING FOR THIS EPISODE!
You and Mogswamp have the best MC series, glad to see you are still motivated to continue!
Best series on TH-cam right now.
If you want to save a wandering trader for later, put him into a boat and ride that boat away into an unloaded chunk. then just don't load that chunk until its time to trade. Great video!
Best series available ❤
Thanks bro
You can place the water inside slabs (waterlog) to make an infinite water source (as long as there are blocks under the waterlogged slabs), so the water can't possibly freeze.
As for the elevators, you can waterlog signs to prevent the water from freezing. So you won't need the block above
this is THE best series on youtube right now !!!
Hopefully this saves you time so you don’t need to wait for as many lightning storms as gold apples are pretty expensive!
sadly there is no access to stone yet, which means no furnace
I need a new episode, this series is so goooood!!
Keep it up man, seriously i know you put lot af effort making them
Got this randomly recommendet and the fact that you are just a "small" youtuber doing only this project got me really impressed!
