    I've owned one since 19. Its awesome and held up very well. I moved wall with two slider doors in master, to allow for a full queens bed. Very easy to do and for a tall person makes a world of difference. I do like my 2 way fridge even though i loose out on space...

    We have the 2021 version and the 2022 has done a few minor modifications obviously. That third brake light is a plus for sure. The ice maker while being the same manufacturer, seems to be different too. But all in all, a great 1st timer TT.

      @RayHikes 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That appears ot be a plastic toilet in this model. Easy mod to swap it out though, and I'm sure they could get it done at the dealer if it's a make or break thing for you.

    I like the camp kitchen better on my 2021, the burner layout and sink basin comes in handy. Otherwise this is a great camper! I would add that I originally bought this and pulled it with my 2009 1/2 ton, and it was ok but with a family of 5 and some luggage in the bed I was topping out my payload. The new 3/4 ton gasser I bought tows this thing like its a feather and I don't have to use sway bars anymore. Those drawers under the dinette are great! They need to fix the bunk privacy curtains though, the top curtain should go all the way across, with another curtain just for the bottom bunk. With kids in each they mess with each other when both curtains are in use as they are. Just a minor thing though. Great trailer, we love it! That quiet AC works great and the furnace/fireplace combo can more than roast us over night! I just wish they included the shade in at least the bathroom exterior door, if you turn the light on at night you can see right in from the outside without it. Oh yeah and that big bath fan will pull a vacuum on the trailer with a window not open! And yes, the pantry is so big we can store dry food, pots/pans, and some of the kids clothes for our weekend or long weekend trips. I'll add too those zebra blinds on the slide windows are great. At 6ft tall the short queen bed is ok, if I were any taller though it would probably be a deal breaker. The travel access with slide closed is also great! I will also add, I've hit 2 things with the trailer right now because of not paying attention to what I was doing. Stick and tin unit was easy to repair, if it were laminated I would have been screwed.

      We have used our 2021 26dbh about 8 trips so far and love it. I agree about the outdoor kitchen, I like ‘21 better. Also agree about that bathroom fan! pretty much yeah. The wiring is all the proper gauge to handle 400-450ish watts of solar. You'd daisy chain the panels together. It's great you understand talking about solar is pointless without talking about batteries

    Cherokees have some very nice floorplans with some very nice features but they also have some very entry level features with the stick and tin build, a plastic toilet, a shower curtain, no ladder, no dinette drawer guides, camp queen mattresses, and no standard TV which most other manufacturers do provide?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the brand. In this class of stick and tin campers they're definitely right in the pocket matching up nicely with most.
      If you compare them vs. many laminated RV then yeah -- those features feel lacking. These are also thousands less as a result.
      Where cherokee does a great job I think is making sure everything is set up for you to make a few small tweaks to fit your preferences without needing any major rebuild work. Simple toilet swap and done.
      And given their now #1 in the market overwhelming popularity it seems that plan is working!

      @@JoshtheRVNerd I think the next 5 years of trade ins will tell us a whole lot about the quality control of every manufacturer over the past 18 months or so. The cream should definitely rise to the top👍 The one major development over the past couple of decades that I really thought was going to be a total success for the RV industry was rubber roofing, and boy was I wrong because there are just as many or more issues with water damage than ever before, and there is no bigger problem or issue to resolve than that!

    This is a nice trailer overall. It has a very useful comfortable layout. I clearly see why this is a popular layout. Lots of equipment and features on this one.
    Too much black on the inside for me however. I like warmer inside trim colors. This has to much cold sinister Batman/bat woman Gotham city darkness for me.
    Does Cherokee offer a fold up lower bunk option on this one? I have seen that feature offered on some other rear bunk units. That wood support in the middle of the bunk in the storage compartment just drives me nuts! I totally get why it’s there, but what a jarring in the way piece.
