I’ve been to all these places except Mount Rushmore so here’s my comments… Vegas and Disneyland would not thrive and continue to grow and evolve over the years if people don’t get any value out of their visits. They know how much it will cost and what they’re getting into when they book their vacations. It’s not as if they just decided to drive by and drop in. With regards to Times Square, Bourbon street , Hollywood and San Francisco attractions, the message should be ‘manage your expectations’ , instead of not worth your time. As long as they just drop by to check out the hype, and not allow themselves to be ‘tourist trapped’, a one time visit should not be regrettable. Besides, these attractions should just be quick stops in a multi-day vacations in these amazing cities and places.
I would agree with everything on the list except for Las Vegas. Been there over a dozen times and always fun when going with adults only. Eating outside of the strip is more enjoyable than waiting in line at the buffet. Don’t waste your money on Disneyland or Disney World. Universal Studios is way better.
I disagree with a lot of this for numerous reasons. For a travel site I find it perplexing you're telling people don't bother to travel. I totally don't get your point about Lombard Street saying the tourists are headaches for residents. The residents who live there absolutely know what they bought into. It's been like this for a hundred years. The cars and visitors are a feature, not a headache.
I’ve been to most of them. There’s a 3-4 that I think are worth seeing at least once. Stopped by the space needle last year and when I checked price when I walked up, I knew it wasn’t worth it. I’ve been to top of The Strat and the CN Tower and sure not much difference.
Las Vegas is my happy place. Great shows, fantastic pool areas, beautiful hotels. Lots of options

$38 to go to the Space Needle. I live here and I didn't know it was that much. Ruined a good thing.

Why would anyone drive in San Fran. The transit is fabulous in whole Bay Area
