This time of year, bugs, snakes, bees, spiders, mosquitos are not a worry exploring the woods. Weeds and brush are mostly dormant and you can see much further than any time of the year too. 🐯👍
@gizmocarr3093 I like it when it's fall or spring, but the bugs do come out when it's warm. It's finally cold enough here to cut off the mosquitoes mostly. Those suckers are annoying. 🦟🦟🦟 One has found a nice spot in my bedroom & likes to munch on me in my sleep. I haven't noticed it for a few nights now, so maybe I outlived it. 🤔🤪
@gizmocarr3093 Here's what AI had to say. The lifespan of a mosquito depends on the species, temperature, humidity, and other factors, but generally, adult mosquitoes live for about 2 to 4 weeks. Female mosquitoes typically live longer than males: Male mosquitoes: Live for about 6 or 7 days on average Female mosquitoes: Can live up to 5 months or longer, with the average female life span being about 6 weeks * I think I had the long lifespan one. 😆
@kirbycreekmo I had planned on brewing up a cup of coffee there, but the wind was strong & I didn't bring a tripod to film. That sounds like work, and I was trying to avoid anything like that 😆
@kirbycreekmo It takes a little getting used to because having to work makes us schedule driven. When you are retired, nobody tells you what to do, when to do it, or how long it takes to get something done. When you get older, you deserve to take it easy if you can. Do what you want to do whenever you want. The biggest thing to deal with is lack of social interaction, but I can entertain myself, so that's no big issue for me.
@JollyPeanut It is. Down by the bridge is a very popular fishing spot. There's usually at least one or two vehicles there. The park is called Meadow View Nature Area. There's a bigger park north of it where most people go, and it's called Bluebonnet Park. That one is directly across from the regional medical center and a highway 🛣.
@bdh3949 There was a pile of broken bricks by the original ultra cool spot with most gray no-name ones. I found pieces of the red one & then this one, which only had a minor chip. I thought that place was abandoned when I found it, but the Army Corps of Engineers maintains that area & i think they work on the bridge also. 🌉. The spot I filmed from is very active in April as that's when the bluebonnets bloom and people come from everywhere to see them. Right now, I have the place mostly to myself. Come spring and summer, it will be busy.
Thanks for taking us along, buddy!👍
@davidkurle5418 Thank you for watching, David.
