I agree, Mira would do a great job! I wonder what th-cam.com/channels/Xh9wx2rGvWfJEXTS6DXWjg.html would do with the challenge. 🤔 Yes, I would try this challenge. 😃
The foam clay bear with froggy hat was the cutest addition! So adorable. I hope @MiraByler accepts this challenge. I love her work, too. (Thanks for the mentioning me in the description. So sweet ♥)
Paula, you are braver than you think, and yes, chocolate is sometimes a must! I enjoy watching you paint and hearing you talk about the good and the bad of the process. You are helping so many others give their own creativity a chance. I feel like I am finally willing to do art for personal enjoyment. It is like reconnecting with a long lost friend. I personally want to say “Thank you.” 😊
Paula, I just love this whimsical piece. I can absolutely relate to getting frustrated, then walking away and taking a second look. Your videos, as well as the other artists you have recommended give me so much inspiration! Thank you!
Thank you so much! I’m so happy you liked it! ☺️ I think I was so worried about the randomness I got a little bit blocked haha maybe I should try again now that I know my studio didn’t explode using random colors ! Haha
Good day, Hun. Teddy is so cute. I love the green 🐸 hat, and not just because it's my favorite color. Such a great idea, and so fun. You did a wonderful job. Blessings 🤗🤗🤗
Awesome project. Challenge well met, in my opinion. 😃👍 and my goodness, 🥰 I LOVE the Bear! He's adorable! 💖 OUCH! I know how that feels. (I've burnt myself pretty severely with hot glue, many times. ) Hope you'll heal fast.
Maybe try stepping away for a chocolate break before you get so frustrated? I know you usually try to push through, and that's admirable, but with casual arts & crafts (as opposed to your professional art), I'd say fun is more important than a schedule. Just a suggestion =) Anyway, it turned out cute! I've painted a couple little wooden drawer units, but never added clay into the mix--what a fun idea! =)
Turned out really cute! I liked it a bit better before you added the final lighter colors. But you made it your own so it doesn't matter if i like it. The bear was adorable and the extra color just made his face pop. Nice job!🎉❤
I love that you are sharing your struggles, it is reality and it’s impossible to get things perfect all the time. It was an entertaining video to😊 watch
What a cute project. That bear with its froggy hat is the cutest! Doing those offset outlines made it look like your art, so thats a win I think! Thank you for showing that art can be frustrating too. And that everything can be painted over. I sometimes struggle with finishing a project when I hit a frustration wall and maybe next time I can think about your approach and carry on!
Thanks so much! 😊 and yesss! A little breather, a lot of chocolate and then just paint over it if you like! Truth is I forget why I create sometimes; and when I remember I realize everything is ok and I can paint over it if I want ☺️
I like it a lot (bear and box and the design) and i think that the final lines you added say: it's me Paula. You made it yours. Cheers from Italy. Dan 🧡
Your clay bear us so cute and i love it eith thr box. I have been planning on doing this challenge. I actually have similar ideas and was also considering picking the colours first and then using clay. I bought a kids clay set with 80 colours last year and I've been looking for a project and though this one might be perfect. I'm still not sure yet though. I actually love that You, Rose and Ashleigh have all done this challenge and yet hsve all had your own spin on it. ❤ Editing now as I see Di has also done it. Im watching her video now.
Oh Loz I’m sure you’ll rock it! What you could do is draw the colors from the generator and if you have them in clay use them and if you don’t you can use paint in that color… that would be fun!!!
Hi Paula! Im a new suscriber and have fallen in love with your channel!! I haven't had a day to binge on your full length videos but found a fantastic bunch of your shorts to keep me happy until I can!! Can't wait to see more soon!!! Have an awesome week!!! ❤😊❤
Love the bear its so cute. Also happy you made the change with the lighter colors to give it a you touch that made it complete . Mira byler would be doing great with this challenge for sure. An i saw aussie crafters version wich is a nice one to.
The final result is very cute. I like that the bear is in the grass instead of the clouds, but that's my personal take lol. This is the first I'm seeing foam clay in action and why did no one tell me how stinkin' cute it is??! Also, you arent alone, my first thought when I make a mistake using hot glue is to touch it. 😂 Thank goodness I only use low heat now because I have small kids.
I love your little frog bear. I'm partial to bears and my favorite part is his little heart patch. His face turned out well even with staining you can try some rubbing alcohol to remove the fingerprints and smudges and smooth put the clay. I would love to try this but its another challenge i think I'd have a hard time with cuz i too have a hard time not having control over my art.
Oh that’s a great idea! It didn’t occur to me right then! I’m also thinking maybe I should have painted it all or something! But ok next time! The thing is I get frustrated but I really love the process in-spite of my results haha ☺️ thank you!
Tag me! Tag me! :D lol Came out super cute. Its funny because I had just watched Di's when yours popped up and immediately thought "I guess I will continue my procrastinating..." lol
@@bycreativepaula You are very welcome!! 🤗😍 I learned this the hard way attaching tulle to hats for a 1905 play and feathers to some wings for the same play! 😂 The chandelier over my table became cobweb filled!! 🕸🤣
@bycreativepaula Yup, unless one is smart enough to figure out a tool... Unfortunately, I'm such a hands-on person, I don't think I would be satisfied with the results, lol!! 😂
Ohh thank u sooo much this gives me an idea ur really creative and I love watching you get out of your comfort zone it’s really hard to do it your an amazing person I hope you don’t mind if I do this ✨☺️🩷
I’m in Quito yes! Actually about a couple of months back there were some problems with the water reserves that we use for electricity; so what happened was there were scheduled power outages to conserve energy until the pants were up and running correctly again. So we knew when we were going to have a block of hours without electricity. Definitely a pain to work around of, but at the same time gave me perspective of all the blessings I have including having power all the time! Thank you so much for your concern!! ❤️❤️❤️ makes me feel special 🥰
Mira would be the best at this for sure! Kattvalk has the most beautiful illustrations you are right!! I haven’t seen Visual Mind but I’m going to check it out! Thanks!
I know you were not 100% convinced by your design but it looks so cute ! I love the bear, he looks so friendly. The problem of color smudging with clay is why I prefer painting clay once it's dry, rather than using colored clay. Adding a painting phase makes the process longer, but it also makes the sculpting part more forgiving since you only have to care about shapes. Now the question is : what will you put inside the box ?
Thank you so much! Yeah I definitely agree! It’s “safer” to paint everything at the end ☺️ lesson learnt! I thought maybe the clay would look less “fluffy” somehow! And I’ve put Washi tape in there! The cute ones I don’t know if I wanna ever use lol
I think @MiraByler would ROCK this challenge? What do you think? Who would you like to see trying it? Would you do it?
I agree, Mira would do a great job!
