Thanks for saving me to watch the last 3' by spoilering the end result. Pls explain me what's the point of doing so. Do you think one has to be lured into a viewership by promising him/her a final "surprise"… by spoilering said surprise? Being not a fan of any team, I like to watch games for the sake of watching the play… but already knowing the end results - and supposedly HOW it ends - takes away a fair share of the pleasure.
Seemed like a harsh penalty for the final kick to win the game. Ball looked to be played out from the ruck at the point that Ibitoye disrupts, so he didn't need to be on his feet as the ruck was over at that point?

Answer: A. allow opponents who are not on the ground play the ball, B. not play the ball, C. not tackle or attempt to tackle an opponent. Sanction: Penalty
@@PorkChop59 But, he is on both his feet at the ruck. He then jumps up to tap the scrum half's wrist as he plays the ball out. Technically, he's in the air at the point he plays the ball rather than being on the ground. I think the rule you mention is intended for players inteferring when already off their feet - i.e. lying on the ground. Either way, it's done and dusted now - just seemed a very harsh decision given it was end of the game and the resulting penalty lost Bristol the match.
Yeah you could always argue your point but in the end that was a pretty dumb thing to do. Bristol's defence was in good shape, saries were going nowhere why try the 50-50play and risk to force the ref's hand? In the end it was a bit of silliness from Ibitoye (still a very exciting player!) I do realize it's easy to say that from my sofa and it is actually really hard to keep a clear mind at the end of a tense game but from a neutral point a view the ref was pretty faire and in the end taht was the right decision.

possibly still a "slap down" as he targets the ball not the 9's arm?
Ref said penalty was for being off his feet when he plays the arm. But does he have to be on his feet if the ruck is over?
