I love baking. I love making people happy with my cakes, biscuits and breads. I feel satisfied when I see the look of someone when chewing by bakes and I know it is good. It is what motivates me, pushes me foward to try more and more recipes. For years I had only a hand whisk and a bowl. I would spend 10 mintues to make a butter that would take 60secs in an electric whisk. I would sleep late until I take out the cookies from the oven. Sometimes they got burnt, many cakes did not rise, some breads came out undercooked, some cakes came out sour and not sweet. I did not get the icing right many times. I got disappointed so many times, I threw away many things I baked. My mom and brother disappointed me many times but I kept doing it because. I loved it! I could not see myself not wanting it anymore. I would salivate at beautiful cakes on displays and I told myself I will make that one day. I have a dream to have my own bakery. I am at the initial stages and my bakery is going to called "Grand Bakes Tanzania".
People will tell you that you can't do something cause they can't do it. Do Not EVER let anyone tell you that you can't do something! Always be you and always believe in yourself. I lost everything I worked my entire life for 3 years ago and was ready to throw in the towel, instead I believed in myself, I started back at the bottom, and along that ride I became a better person I have ever been, I am happier than I've ever been, I'm more successful than I've ever been. I am now 43 years old and if I had to do it all over, I wouldn't have to think twice, the pain, the anger, the hurt, the sweat, the tears, the sleepless night's, the anxiety attacks, the ulcers, the worry, the fear, the fact that I believed in myself and knew I could do it and make it, made it all so much more worth every second of all of it. I play golf and everyone at my high school tells me it's not a sport it's just a waste of time. My parents tell me I should play baseball or football something that people actually see. When I watched this video I was a junior and had a 1.5 GPA because I did horrible freshman and junior year and I thought that I would just be able to slide by my last years but that wasn't the case as my reality began to set in I noticed that I had to do something about it and I watch this video every day and they gave me motivation to work and strive to get that GPA that I want it and to get my grades up and reach my full potential I study daily and I noticed a difference side emerged from me which was the top scholar now I'm a senior with a 3.0 GPA and a class rank of 5 all it takes is motivation and willpower now I can see myself getting above a 25 on the act test

I wasn't even expecting myself to cry watching this video. Not because I was sad, but so much just rang so deep and true to me. I'm at this point pushing to achieve my set goals in my track season and I feel every word in this video. Especially since I had to miss my sophomore season because of surgery, nothing is holding me back from every ounce of potential I can manifest this season. I'm more aggressive, assertive, and more purposeful then I was my freshman year. Took in the initiative to do my own pre-season weightlifting and training in the winter and started the season with a PR in my 100m hurdle time in our scrimmage. One second off my goal time, but I know I will achieve it (especially since it should be warmer at our next meet compared to how chilly it was during our scrimmage a couple of days ago).Once I hit my goal time. I'll only be .04 seconds off from beating our school hurdle record. I also have to thank my Mom for always being supportive in everything I do because she knows when I do things, I have the willingness and tenacity to focus on it. Without her support, inspiration, and sacrifice for her children, I couldn't be doing the things I love today or any day. #PowerfulBeyondMeasure

You know I've always been good at school and sports but now I'm in college and I feel like I can't do things right. I have a long drive to my university and have to work late shifts and I'm on the verge of failing calculus 2 and physics but I really want to be an engineer. I know I can turn things around.
I've been in a similar spot. There were a few classes, ,but the big one for me was english composition 102. I want to be a writer. Specifically, Novels. I failed that class three or four times mainly because others in my class, who didn't want what i wanted, didn't take it seriously. their attitude rubbed off on me. Their apathy became my apathy because i let it influence my thinking.They may have caused my view to change, but still i only have myself to blame for my failure. It was not their fault. The moral of the story is simply this: Let what You (capital 'Y' for emphasis) want guide Your thoughts, actions, and decisions. No one else has the right to dictate how you should feel about something. If You dream of being an engineer, do all you can to focus you thoughts and actions toward that dream. The hidden moral, keep trying whatever that means. If it means you fail this time around, Just retake it and make it count the next time. I stil haven't passed the English 102 class, but not because i can't, I didn't try a fourth time, i set my efforts toward a certification as a medical billing specialist. And i'm close to graduating school and preparing to test for certification next month or after. If i get established in the career i could make good money that i can then put toward my other goals. For example the writing: i've drafted a manuscript in my free time, and am revising the idea. Maybe one of these days you'll see me sitting across from Jon Stewart and/or Stephen Colbert for an interview about the novel. Otherwise, my writing will have to speak for itself. And trust me, it will. Loud and Clear. Whatever it ends up being worth, it will have that much success. Not because I've gone through so much s*** and feel that i'm entitled to a break. But because i care about how it turns out and will put forward the necessary effort it takes to make it so.

You know I've always been good at school and sports but now I'm in college and I feel like I can't do things right. I have a long drive to my university and have to work late shifts and I'm on the verge of failing calculus 2 and physics but I really want to be an engineer. I know I can turn things around.

I've been in a similar spot. There were a few classes, ,but the big one for me was english composition 102. I want to be a writer. Specifically, Novels. I failed that class three or four times mainly because others in my class, who didn't want what i wanted, didn't take it seriously. their attitude rubbed off on me.
Their apathy became my apathy because i let it influence my thinking.They may have caused my view to change, but still i only have myself to blame for my failure. It was not their fault.
The moral of the story is simply this: Let what You (capital 'Y' for emphasis) want guide Your thoughts, actions, and decisions. No one else has the right to dictate how you should feel about something.
If You dream of being an engineer, do all you can to focus you thoughts and actions toward that dream.
The hidden moral, keep trying whatever that means. If it means you fail this time around, Just retake it and make it count the next time.
I stil haven't passed the English 102 class, but not because i can't, I didn't try a fourth time, i set my efforts toward a certification as a medical billing specialist. And i'm close to graduating school and preparing to test for certification next month or after. If i get established in the career i could make good money that i can then put toward my other goals.
For example the writing: i've drafted a manuscript in my free time, and am revising the idea. Maybe one of these days you'll see me sitting across from Jon Stewart and/or Stephen Colbert for an interview about the novel.
Otherwise, my writing will have to speak for itself. And trust me, it will. Loud and Clear. Whatever it ends up being worth, it will have that much success. Not because I've gone through so much s*** and feel that i'm entitled to a break. But because i care about how it turns out and will put forward the necessary effort it takes to make it so.
