She told him during her birthday party he threw for her, that she only saw him as a friend, and after that, that's all he was, but who knows if she had a falling out of Sichen if she would have given him a chance in the future. It wasn't till like the last episode of the series where she really learns the Sichen really loves her. Till then, she was ensure. The other guy helped support her through many troubles. They were friends for years before Sichen, and like I said, Sichen wouldn't have ever fallen in love with her for real, if it wasn't for the competition he was getting from the other guy.
