    Remember yield has no correlation with profit.

      @@richardsmith9399 If you get 200 bushel of corn per acre and it cost you $4.00 per bushel to grow it. If I grow 150 bushel of corn per acre and it cost me 3.00 an acre to grow it. I would still be more profitable then you.

      @@codydog1700 I get what you're trying to say. But yield is correlated with profit. Think about it like this... Say on half of the field you make 150 bu/a corn and the other half you make 100 bu/a corn, but you treated the whole field the same, costing you $3/a. As your yield increases, your profit also increases (even if you're in the red).
