The writing in this movie is amazing, specifically because Christoph waltz tells him that story of the German who climbs the mountain and through the hellfire to rescue the one he loves. That's exactly what Django does. Goes through candyland, (the mountain) fights through his men (the hellfire) and just to rescue his lady love! This is by far one of his best films ever. And it's my favorite Tarantino film by far.
It’s still kind of tripps me out how excited these guys get about memes …it’s like it’s more important than the movie. Kids these days …. Great reaction guys.!
Another fun fact: The horse Jamie Foxx rides at the very end that he does the tricks with is actually Jamie Foxx's horse, so he was already trained to do that.
There’s always a “fun fact” guy in the comments… now do you purposely go find out these facts just so you can say this in the comment or do you already know all these facts beforehand?
Fun note: The dinner scene with Leo's bloody hand is NOT scripted. He smashed his hand on the table and didn't realize he smashed into a tea cup, causing it to shatter and making him bleed. He didn't break character and no one else did either.
This is something of an urban legend. While Leo DID smash a glass and cut his hand, the second time they cut away here 00:43:50, they replaced the real blood with fake blood. The actress doesn't have Leo's actual blood wiped on her face. That would be an unsanitary occupational hazard, and violate all kinds of health codes.
Fun fact: the horse Jamie rides and does the little dance at the end is HIS actual horse and he really was riding that yt horse bareback which isn't very easy.
Same this was the first QT movie since Kill Bill that gave me that same vibe KB did. Basterds was cool but it didn’t exactly have that same aura as DJango and KB did
The relationship between Django and Dr.Shultz was so wholesome he mever speaks to Django like a slave or as if he's stupid he treats him simply like a human, I love when they are around others you can legit see the disgust and confusion, people point out that the score works so well with thus film even though alot of the songs dont seem to fit the time period, The raid scene about the messed up bags is sti the funniest part of this move, and Steven was one hell of a villian he really showed who was the brains because Candy was clueless and only pissed off that steven was able to figure it out. Fun fact: I know people will comment this but in the dinner scene Leo actually does cut his hand and he just keep going with the scene (people think he really rubbed his blood on Kerry Washington), but they do cut and he gets stiched up that is FAKE blood. 😊
Fun fact : there was a collection of action figures of the characters from the film being sold, I managed to purchase Django and Stephen and planed on buying them all, but complaints about selling “racist slave dolls” made the toy maker pull them from the shelves. Some can be found online but for hundreds or thousands of dollars.
I love QT's "Death Proof"(2007) with Kurt Russell. But really all his movies are great. That blood on Leo's hand was real he cut it with that slam, but he kept on with the scene without missing a beat!🔥
Red Dead 2 is just a spaghetti western that you play lol. They ripped the whole structure even the long epilogue where the hero retires and builds a farm lol.
You guys will love it! This is my favorite QT movie be because he took a very serious and historical topic matter and made it authentic, honest, funny, entertaining and thought provoking! Also loved the soundtrack and costumes 👏🏽
The headgear makes it harder for them to run off because they get tangled up because they can't get their heads through. Such as brush, bramble and barbed wire fences.
The head gear was to make it harder for slaves to run away, it would get caught in bushes and trees. Sad but true fact but I appreciate QT for keeping it real
The offered $12k is the equivalent of about half a million dollars today (just shy of it.) So yeah. Whole lot of money. Something Candy couldn't refuse.

My fave Tarantino movie with Inglorious Basterds in 2nd place! The KKK bag scene is one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a movie🤣🤣 and Sam L Jackson in this role is ICONIC!!! You guys must watch The Hitman's Bodyguard with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson! It's just them playing themselves pissing each other off! Such a fun silly movie! I also think the reaction was a good balance of acknowledging the horrific situations and also being able to laugh at the parts QT obviously meant to be funny. Good job guys. I really like Django but it doesn't pass Kill Bill for me.
It’s ok Mathew I understand. I’m black and certain scenes I skip in this movie because they are hard for me to handle. It’s a great movie but it is hard to watch.
That's soemthing I actually appreciate as uncomfortable as some of these scenes are Trenton did a great job at making the audience uncomfortable because this jjst a light hearted movie this was a reality for people. There was so much passion and emotion put into this film I even found myself pausing a scene or two like we only see flashes but the dog scene pissed me off and made me super uncomfortable but again this was reality at one point.

Downplaying it due to language is a I felt bad as a white person moment. I love this crew. Doesn’t mean I have to stay silent when I see something that feels weird. And it felt weird to have him talk about that. It’s ok. I didn’t stop liking them. But it did end a movie reaction of one of my favorite movies on a weird bad note.
I enjoyed this film but it's not one of my fave QT movies. It almost seems like there are scenes missing that told us more about these characters and what makes them tick.
My guy it's understandable how the movie made you feel and it was an ugly time in our history, however you shouldn't let that keep you from enjoying a great piece of art. "The D is silent" "I know!" The guy at the bar was FRANCO NERO, the original "DJANGO" from Sergio Corbuccis italian western classic from 1966
