@@thunderbird1921 Nope, that's just a Swiss Teddy. Our Swiss Teddy is roughly the same age and the same size. A healthy Teddy can grow to be 2 kilo which is twice the size of an average guinea pig

My guinea pig of 6 years just passed away on Sunday. I hope max recovers, losing a guinea pig is just like losing a dog or another person, it's absolutely heart wrenching 😔

Not a piggie mom, but did have rats. All but one lived above the average petstore lifespan because I didn't feed them the crap petstores try to sell you, but it was still an emotional punch to the gut when my babies let me know it was time. Even when they'd had slow-grow(aka "benign") tumors for months so I knew it was coming.

I'm crying to hear this. The fluid retention medicine did help with my piggie Willow in her last days of cancer, it will help Max feel more comfortable. What a gorgeous character he is, you are such good piggie parents and found him the best veterinary help. I pray he pulls through ❤❤

I'm so sorry. I've lost several pigs way too soon & I work as a veterinary nurse. They tend to give up during treatment & there's not much more we can do. Know you gave him a really good life & great company.
I have two boys who were from the same litter. I took them in after seeing they were being abused by the daddy and just being malnourished. They came with me in a very dark time in my life and truly i felt like i slowly began to find purpose in life thanks to them. Recently one of them I noticed that he wasn't gaining as much weight as the other. They both are the same and lively. But i remember suddenly getting hit with the fear of losing him. And that pain and fear is so real. Pets no matter how big or small, they take a piece of our hearts with them. Don't apologize for showing emotion. You have every right to show it. You love them! You care. I'm so sorry for you loss❤️ i wish I could say more. But know our hearts are with you.

Guinea pigs are so prone to so many health issues and it's really awful😢I've had 3 sweet piggies pass due to illnesses no one could control, they're such wonderful animals and only deserve happiness and when I heard your voice cracking with sadness I almost started crying, I know this pain and it's practically unbearable, but he's in good hands with you and I really pray he gets better
I know it's so heartbreaking. My 2 year old guinea pig died recently to pneumonia. Poor guy. What's even sadder is that when you search online for a type of disease or illness, they mostly say "common cause of death" because they're so prone and fragile 😭

Max passed away a little while after the video was recorded, it was announced 2 days ago on Instagram. RIP Maximus. I don’t know when the videos will return but it will probably be in around a week.
I’m going to try to be an exotic vet tech when I get older, so I can help many exotic animals including guinea pigs. And maybe save some piggies’ lives. :,)

I heard about what’s going on and I just saw her post on Instagram about Max’es passing and its just awful. I lost my skinny pig last about 2 years ago and I was devistated. (I do currently have two other girls which I’m very happy about and they really made the house very cheerful again) So really hearing about this is just so sad. So so sorry, soon recovery to your whole family and of course the guinea pigs. Hope everyone will be okay💕
I know, Max is an amazing furry fellow. That defect is NOT a good sign though. I wonder if he has a genetic growth defect in his body, he's unusually large for a guinea pig his age.

Guinea pigs are so prone to so many health issues and it's really awful😢I've had 3 sweet piggies pass due to illnesses no one could control, they're such wonderful animals and only deserve happiness and when I heard your voice cracking with sadness I almost started crying, I know this pain and it's practically unbearable, but he's in good hands with you and I really pray he gets better
I know it's so heartbreaking. My 2 year old guinea pig died recently to pneumonia. Poor guy. What's even sadder is that when you search online for a type of disease or illness, they mostly say "common cause of death" because they're so prone and fragile 😭

It's awful that ppl have interbred them so much and now they have to suffer for it, I'm just glad we least we get a bit of time with our beloved furry babies before they pass, and I'm really sorry for your loss, losing something you love is always so heartbreaking
Max passed away a little while after the video was recorded, it was announced 2 days ago on Instagram. RIP Maximus. I don’t know when the videos will return but it will probably be in around a week.

I’m going to try to be an exotic vet tech when I get older, so I can help many exotic animals including guinea pigs. And maybe save some piggies’ lives. :,)

I’m so sorry! We had a dog who past away recently from heart failure, due to to much fluid in her system. Praying that he gets better! I’m sooooo sorry.🙁

It's so scary how fast we can lose our little piggies. I am terrified when I see people that know a heck of a lot more than I do about guinea pigs and even they lose them. RIP Max. Julia, I'm very sorry for Max's premature departure.
I heard about what’s going on and I just saw her post on Instagram about Max’es passing and its just awful.
I lost my skinny pig last about 2 years ago and I was devistated. (I do currently have two other girls which I’m very happy about and they really made the house very cheerful again) So really hearing about this is just so sad. So so sorry, soon recovery to your whole family and of course the guinea pigs. Hope everyone will be okay💕

I know, Max is an amazing furry fellow. That defect is NOT a good sign though. I wonder if he has a genetic growth defect in his body, he's unusually large for a guinea pig his age.

i started crying the minute you said "put him down" i hope you read this, just in case max dosnt make it. Max is such a bright happy guinea pig, he loves you so much, more than anything
