I feel like Im back in 2008 buying my first Glock 26. Lol. I found this tent, loved the look and design, searched TH-cam and low and behold Nutnfancy has a freakin review on it! YES! Sold! Lol. Thanks for continuing to make these. You were literally the first review I ever watched on TH-cam way back in '08 (different name to my channel then) and I've subbed ever since.
I really miss these outdoor gear review videos. Takes me back to earlier days of TNP. The quick format is good but long format in field review would be so much cooler imo. But we understand how much time and work those take.;
@@steelhorses2004 it's funny because I am a watch guy! I have a lot of watches! But his taste in watches is nothing like mine. Most are down right hideous to be honest and he likes big enormous watches when I think 40 mm is perfect size to me (he thinks this is small). I've been a tnper since the beginning but do miss his outdoor type vids.
A five minute review? This must have killed you haha! Happy to see you back to the outdoors. You inspired me 12 years ago and I’m getting my boys into it now.
Just a nugget to squirrel away with a space blanket and a few small magnets you can do much to add your tent in protecting from the cold and the sun. Much love Col. Stay frosty
I just got done with a camping trip in South Texas, outside Big Bend NP. Had a tent fail on us, looking to replace it, following day this pops up. Thank you Nutnfancy!
I used the 4 person to sleep in when I was working the Mexico border with my Patriot group. Plenty of room and lots of ventilation with the rain fly off.
I love my Kelty two person tent, at the moment the model escapes me I've had it for so long and just like you I have to have all the mesh even in the coldest nights, I slept well with the rain fly on and not once did the cold bother me what so ever, with a nice sleeping bag.
Old school! I bought my Kelty external frame pack based on your review 12 years ago or so. Seeing as I'm now preparing to walk 25 miles west from Manhattan -- through Newark -- in an extended power outage caused by a Russian cyberattack, I'm once again revisiting my BOK based in the 5.11 Rush 72. I hear your preference for a tent, but given that weight and SPEED are my priorities, I'm not even bringing the gore-tex bivy of the MSS. Just a poncho, liner/woobie, a good mylar bag and that heavy "space" blanket. I'll only be sleeping for a few hours max anyway (in the grassy circle of a highway cloverleaf!). A good full set of clothing is my true insulation. And I've still got the old "do rag" from your U.S.K. recommendation -- I'm pretty sure that will backfire in Newark! But I did get a neckerchief with a vaguely native pattern. Adding 7 lbs of solar now too, gotta do it. Maintaining fitness. You've been a huge influence to my thought process. I've driven the route, one 6-mile stretch could be gnarly, other than that it's just a long walk. The things we do for family. Thanks for everything nutn, what a project you've done.
Nutn! Glad to see another GRV. Long time subscriber. Loved seeing mountain dog. Never change, nutn. Let us know when/if you change platforms for good---will follow.
Great format for this vid. At this point I think you've established your credibility and are putting plenty of content out for entertainment but sometimes I just need a trusted recommendation in a short amount of time.
I found using large air matresses that for my daughter and I that a 6 person tent with a center divider tent down the middle offered privacy that we wanted. Plus the top divider offered places to hang many olights on low power level that would work for days. I live in wisconsin and maybe I am a wimp. But camping in sleet and snowfall sounds terrible. I guess if your more prepared.. and have better gear.
@LT COL NUTNFANCY. I love the outdoor gear review!!!! The short length review is nice, and I get why you do it....but I do love your feature length reviews as well! Regardless, thanks for cranking out the awesome content!
Hard to beat the Moss Little Dipper I've been running since '95. Lived in one summer and is a bullet proof design used every year. MSR bought out my towns tent company & prolly not as good. But bought MSR first year Moss Little Dipper "upgrade". Just haven't needed it yet. Moss does weigh 11lbs though, roof screen with zip cover, full side screen, door & fly vestibule door one side, door and screen other. Was $800 in '95 and I'd buy 2 if they made 'em again. Kelty tent looks like a one season summer tent for the majority who are not equipped. Bug Out certainly so for the weight.
Thank you, Nutnfancy and crew. I really enjoy camping and camping/ survival gear reviews more than firearms, watches, and vehicle videos. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but not like the camping, blades, and survival equipment work you do. Thanks, brother. 😊💌
Nah, I prefer the full-length reviews. I can get the five-minute version anywhere, I come to TNP for in depth info and the whole experience of a feature-length video.
Hey nutn I like this format. I've been looking to get my first backpacking tent and was actually debating between then and the rei passage 2. Passage 2 is really inexpensive, do you have any insight on these two? Very similar in specs, I do like the green on the passage more.
Don’t prefer the format, but it is better than nothing. If you can’t find the time for a table-top/bunker review, do one of these. I won’t complain about content.
TH-cam just won’t put you in my feed. So I will search and comment more and hopefully get your vids new ones to pop up The agenda with google is not sheepdog and self reliance. Your epic rants and longer form discussions let’s say have run a foul of the nwo.
Looks like a good car camping tent but not for backpacking. 7 pounds is my entire base weight. Tarp/bug bivy, backpack, sleep pad, sleeping bag, water filter, ect. Everything minus food and water
I have a 3 person kelty and really like it. I didnt like this video as much as actual review videos you do in the field. Felt like a commercial of you reading specs off of their website.

Absolutely agree
I agree, and let's face it he's now in his 50s with a surgery or two under his belt. It's not a viable to put in the physical grind.
Agree. Less watches more of this!
@@remogaggi82 I'm not a watch guy either but I'll "watch" the videos sometimes. Almost bought one a couple times lol

I still get the feels when you bring up Allie. Gone but never forgotten
A five minute review? This must have killed you haha! Happy to see you back to the outdoors. You inspired me 12 years ago and I’m getting my boys into it now.
Happy you are doing backpacking vids again!
Love my Kelty tents. Been looking into getting a small tent for backpacking.
Just a nugget to squirrel away with a space blanket and a few small magnets you can do much to add your tent in protecting from the cold and the sun.

Love big bend
Bought one of these a couple years ago and it has been a great tent.
I plan on getting this tent next month. I live in the Pacific Northwest, Mesh is a must for good ventilation and mitigating condensation
I used the 4 person to sleep in when I was working the Mexico border with my Patriot group. Plenty of room and lots of ventilation with the rain fly off.
I’ve been using my half dome 4 going on 7 years now. Groundhog stakes really help hold the tent down in these Kansas winds.
I just found your channel. I love my grand 2. It works great in all waether.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have been really missing these outdoor/adventure based vids. Looking forward to more.
The old meteor lite 3 from serria
designs tent was the best tent i keep on using !
Thanks for the video. You brought up memories. I personally prefer the XXL format of the reviews.
I love my Kelty two person tent, at the moment the model escapes me I've had it for so long and just like you I have to have all the mesh even in the coldest nights, I slept well with the rain fly on and not once did the cold bother me what so ever, with a nice sleeping bag.

Ive had this tent for about a year now. I love it. Nutn lets see a good 500 optic video
Love this format, love the outdoor gear reviews!
Nutn! Glad to see another GRV.

I miss these reviews sooooo much.

Great review. I like short, yet thorough.
Thanks for this video, looking for a replacement for my old trustworthy Gunnison. Have used it for motorcycle camping for 6 seasons.
The Grand Mesa 4 is what I recently got and used it for a weekend trip in Florida. Me and the wife enjoyed it and were happy.
I found using large air matresses that for my daughter and I that a 6 person tent with a center divider tent down the middle offered privacy that we wanted. Plus the top divider offered places to hang many olights on low power level that would work for days.

I like the short format. Thanks for the review.
I have a couple of Kelty tents, Great tents
Nice review, This will be my first tent. I usually just hammock but been in the market for a tent for a long time.
I like the new format! Sure I would prefer if you physically had it and used it but this way helps too. Thank you
I just got the kelty grand Mesa 2 for $100! Can’t wait to rest it out.
My Kelty Salida 4 was my all time favorite. Been looking for another comparable tent.
You have to check out the lorus lumibrite feild watch, Nutn. Best value watch I've seen in many a year
@LT COL NUTNFANCY. I love the outdoor gear review!!!! The short length review is nice, and I get why you do it....but I do love your feature length reviews as well! Regardless, thanks for cranking out the awesome content!
I might get one of these for motorcycle camping 👍

NUTNFANCY Please Pray for Ukraine people.
Great Video Thanks.
God Bless you and your Family.
Nutn I would love to hear your take on hot tent camping with the titanium stoves (TCE, SAWC, etc).
Short and to the point, when all you need is the info/high lights :)
I miss Ally the mountain dog
She was the sweetest doggo... such a great adventure buddy
Thank you, Nutnfancy and crew. I really enjoy camping and camping/ survival gear reviews more than firearms, watches, and vehicle videos. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but not like the camping, blades, and survival equipment work you do. Thanks, brother. 😊💌
iv been using the kelty TETON 2. iv had it for years long discontinued now.
nutnfancy please make a video about what is going on in Ukraine we need your insight
THANK YOU.... This really helped!
I’m sure you have addressed it to patreon members but is there anyway you could make a video on current events? Thanks nutn
Waiting on hopefully a video from Nutnfancy on Ukraine
Nah, I prefer the full-length reviews. I can get the five-minute version anywhere, I come to TNP for in depth info and the whole experience of a feature-length video.
Great 👍 video, but I hate snow ❄️ really lol 👍
I'll have to buy one.
Great review

Perfect size tent for solo Ops !!
Just ordered the 2 person.
Thx for this. 👍

Wow. Short review.
5 min??? where is the other 50 min... we need the long videos, or I do only my hour drive into work
A five minute review?! Blink twice while making duckface if you're being held against your will!
Whens the Ukraine war truth bomb inbound nutn ??
TNP must not be bringing in much money anymore.
It looks like my Coleman Hooligan tent ⛺️ at 3x price 😂
Time to trash whatever mic you used for the voiceover. Its bad.
