Due to the fact that you taught me how to string, I will forever remain a loyal east coast mesh user! I even got almost everyone in my area to switch from hard/soft mesh to using ECM. Thanks for all your work, you're an inspiration to young stringers and lacrosse entrepreneurs everywhere.
Greg, you make such great videos to teach all of the basics to new stringers out there, I remembered how much you helped me when I was starting, thanks Greg!
ECD was my resource to learn how to string the essentials, i, 1, 2, and tri-topstring. This was a great launchpad for me to learn how to perfect the art. I would keep with the simple patterns for tutorials, just specify that it's simple all around beginner level stringing difficulty and performance.
Great video! You should do kind of a pattern series where you take some of the newer heads like the optik, rabil 2, surgeon 10 500, and kinda describe the head and give an intricate mid pocket pattern for all the heads. That would be awesome! Keep up theory Thursday to I love watching the videos!
Hey Greg! Awesome video, and I love theory Thursdays! I have a few suggestions too. I think that you should start a video series that has to do with having people suggest heads down in the comments, then you pick the most common or one that you would like to do. And then make a video about sidewall patterns for the head you can make a low mid low mid mid high and high. That would be awesome if you can and I also say a few days ago that you liked my picture on Instagram! Thank you for that, and I hope you can use my suggestion!
Awesome vid as always sir. You should do a video about the effects that the different spec heads (nhfs, x, and x6) have have on pockets ect. As well as the advantages/ disadvantages of each spec
i love to keep it simple, not illegal with a mid pocket, inner lock inner lock knot single double single single tie it off but i love using east coast dyes patterns with a smooth release and a perfect channel
You should string up a warrior m80 next Greg. It's a really great offensive head and also great for FO. I've also been having some problems finding a good pattern for a mid pocket on my current m80 so it really help if you strung one up and gave a pattern
When doing 1's and 2's, even on the simple patterns, try doing down through the mesh instead of up. I find that it gets rid of the "bumps" in the channel and keeps it a little cleaner. Check it out!
I would love to see a COMPLEX pattern for an Optik, as I have one on the way now. I was an Lakota guy until Greg switched, then I thought it was time to branch out myself...yes I am such a "follower"!!
+East Coast Dyes Whenever I try to strong a high or mid I always bunch it up in the middle or higher depending where I want my pocket. but when I do it's very shifty do you guys have any suggestions on how to make the shifting stop?
El fr0sty man 42 Most pockets are going to have some level of shift, but if you are pulling all of your sidewalls super tight and only using bunching where you want the pocket, it should work pretty well!
Hey Greg love all your videos and I am getting a Lakota u and I love all your patterns I was wondering if you could to a more complex pocket on it in a video or if you could just tell me thanks
The ceo has tons of stringing holes. If you could do this on an Evo x I would be impressed. But really you can accomish any pocket you want with the right face shape and amount of stringing holes.
I have a factory made stick, because a personalized stick is way too expensive, would i have an advantage over others if i put all my money together and get a personalized stick with a complex string and everything?
I love to tie and interlock, skip 3, si, skip 1, si, stacked si, 2, skip 1, si, and then a 1 and a tie off in my Clutch 2x. It's a shifty mid, mid-high
I have this old mesh that has gotten soft over the years and it just doesn't hold a nice pocket. At the moment I don't have the money for new mesh so what should I do?
this might be a little late, but will a stallion 200 work for a midy?? I ask this bc I'm a middy and my dad got me a stallion 200 stick this year... it's my first year playing
UpToYou theres no such thing as a regular ceo. all ceos are universal. some people just don't say the u at the end since they don't make a high school spec CEO.

You should do one explaining what each knot does or when to use them
Chris Ladyga That's a great idea!

I remember your first video, you've come along way east coast dyes. Congrats on your success.

Hey Greg, for another Theory Thursday, how about Traditional vs Mesh pockets?
Hey Greg, how about a little love for keepers? Theory on what makes a good goalie string job (such as better channel, less rebounds, etc.)
i love to keep it simple, not illegal with a mid pocket, inner lock inner lock knot single double single single tie it off but i love using east coast dyes patterns with a smooth release and a perfect channel

Love theory Thursdays! I've always just used si's cause I find that the best for being able to FO and then go directly into middie after the FO
You should string up a warrior m80 next Greg. It's a really great offensive head and also great for FO. I've also been having some problems finding a good pattern for a mid pocket on my current m80 so it really help if you strung one up and gave a pattern

I like how you use simpler patterns keep it up
It would be great if you made a maverik optik tutorial. I recently bought one and have been trying to replicate the ones that you have strung.
can you do a complex warrior burn x pattern? and are there any tutorials for the complex knots?
Can you make a review on the ceo
i like using overhand knots because they don't get loose or shift at the top and will keep your pocket defined
are there any complex patterns that you did tutorials on?
Please do a tutorial on how to do all those cool knots!!! that would be epic!
Could your simple 1, 2s and interlock patterns be almost directly transferred into more complex patterns with Si's or would that not work?
I usually use si's at the top because the pull down tighter (as seen in the vid) and then I use a combo of stacked si's and normal singles and doubles
Thank you this will help.
Jeff Fickes Glad you liked it!
Could u do a tutorial on how to do the pocket with multiple SI's? I feel like all of us stringers want a more defined pocket.

What's the difference between a knot SI and a regular SI? Besides the look of it.
The Ksi holds the mesh down a little more.
***** ski brings it more to the outside of the head.
