I´d love to visit Vermont, more than any other US state...Just feel deep spiritual connection with it..It is so beautiful, with nice small cities, mountains and woods... Greetings to all Vermont citizens from croatian..
Samo da znas kako je hladno zimi ni pomislio ne bi da zivis u Vermontu...Jedino ako volis zimske sportove i doci na odmor za kratko onda je u redu...Zivio sam u VT i dobro znam situaciju
spirit called my mom and dad to Vermont in 88. so we left the flatlands and never looked back. I have visited many beautiful places on this earth, but vermont has a certain comforting Spirit i don't feel anywhere else.
Thanks for this video! I am a Vermont native (born and raised in Montpelier) who went to DC after graduate school, served on a US delegation (MBFR) in Vienna in 1973, and returned to the US with a beautiful Viennese lady who became my wife. We moved back to Vermont in 1999 where I have been teaching in the Middlebury College Winter Term for the past 13 years. In addition, I am affiliated with an Austrian foreign policy institute in Vienna and return to Wien whenever possible. I loved the fact that you used this production to link Vermont and Austria, as that, too has been my life!
Just love the series on U.S. states prepared by the U.S. Embassy in Vienna. Congratulations for creating an exceptional educational resource (Robin Ruggles, Ph.D., Founder of Eloray online social studies resources)
Thanks Lisa, you brought me here and am so glad I watched it. It's so nice to watch and hear about where u come from. Beautiful beautiful and I can't wait to visit Vermont sometime in the near future.
Great....we are leaving to visit in a few days and this was very informative. Never heard about Champ before and glad to hear they kept McD out of state capital.
I've lived in Florida my whole life. I don't like it here...until winter. I'm at the beach in December while those poor bastards up North are frozen fucking solid. But Vermont is gorgeous, no doubt about it.
I had planed to go to Vermont before this video since I was 16 2015 I would love to enjoy maple syrup with you in Vermont I hope you understand in that you're a very beautiful woman thankyou
HI,,,I HAVE LIVED IN VERMONT SINCE 1987,,,IN THE NORTH EAST KINGDOM,,WHERE I HAD BUILT MY OWN HOME,,I AM A NEW ENGLANDER,, GREAT INFO, EXCEPT THAT YOU HAD FAILED TO MENTION OUR BELOVED,,--''BERNIE'' ''SANDERS''?
Atticus Noelle Well if'n it didn't rain then the mountains would be brown. It's warm right now but to see -30 deg. in the winter isn't unheard of. The killer in summer is the humidity. Check out Y-T vids. of Hurricane Irene and you'll see what happens when it does rain a lot.
8x56 Atticus Noelle Hurricane Irene was a once in a lifetime event. I live in Windham County and you're right, hot (nothing like AZ though) summers, cold winters, and four VERY distinct, beautiful seasons. I've been to all 48 contiguous states (And was just in Phoenix in the spring) and it is very different everywhere else in the country. The thing I remember the most is the DRY DRY air in AZ.
audilicous Be careful how you say that, you're forgetting the floods of 1928 and 1936. Both of which qualified as once in a lifetime. My town still has the old scars of roads that end where bridges once stood.
Fine yes. Mt Washington is merely the highest in the Northeast and the most prominent east of the Mississippi. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Washington_(New_Hampshire)
It is sad that this beautiful state is also home to Bernie "feel the burn" Sanders. That burning sensation is the money being sucked out of your purse or wallet.
***** No Chris.. not really. Dentists do not earn all that much in the UK, Germany, or Denmark, thanks to their universal health care which keeps costs down by dictating what can be charged. You will be very lucky to make $40,000 a year (which is what a beginning Dentist in the UK makes). Then again, why would anyone want to come to your practice anyway? After all, calling others "dumb bitch"? Insults are typical of mindless liberals like you. You're screwed.. and too stupid to know it. LOL!!!
*_Many people are with you. I was depressed when I saw Bernie Sanders came from here. They’re trying to say Vermont is liberal, that’s JUST the power of suggestion which is a psychology tactic used to win peoples opinions. Follow the crowd. That’s why polls were invented._*
My dad was born and raised in Vermont. He and most of his siblings relocated here to Texas back in the 50's. Oh, am I the only one in the world that does NOT like Ben & Jerry's ice cream? I can't stand all the crap they put in it especially those nasty little tasteless bits of brown wax they try to pass off as chocolate. UGH! Anyway, beautiful state Vermont is...
Comes from the french word meaning green "verd mont" by Samuel de Champlain it means green mountains. The only two president that have and will ever come from Vermont were Coolidge and Chester A Arthur. I am a Vermonter who left Vermont because its a dung pool of liberal socialism! I was abused by teachers in Vermont and dirty little secrets are prevalent in that state! As for it being the Crown Jewel of the USA NOT!!! Montana will out do Vermont any day! I am not a flat-lander pretending to be a Vermonter, who knows nothing of its culture or its history! Other than old socialists and scandalous Sanders! Further there is more impressive history to Vermont then its name for heavens sake! Further Madeleine Kunin ran Vermont into massive debt and ran like a dog when she became US Ambassador to Vienna! The best governor we ever had was Snelling, and they killed him in my opinion, he was pulling Vermont out of debt! Then Kunin got in and fucked it all up!
Craig Hatch Gosh don’t end up in California, it’s the same liberal circus. Full of brainwashed liberals all bobble heads there. Useful idiots for the agenda.
its the most boring state i visited it once and i will never visit it again like never, the is nothing to do i thing the people hibernated all winter and in summer no idea the mall is so small in 5 minutes you can see full Burlington and go back home !! and most people are weird, and the collage is a rip off you pay for education and when you done MC Donald is waiting for you !!!

She sounds pretty Canadian to me
Vermont is the best state!
Vermont became the 14th state in 1791, not 1790
You are right, thank you for pointing this out!

Killington is the largest SKI mountain in the eastern US Stephanie. Not the largest mountain in the eastern US. That would be Mt. Washington.
Both of you are wrong. Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina has that distinction. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Mitchell

That’s because Bernie supports radical Islam. He’s a globalists.

What about them
