Ik woon in Zwitserland en was in Basel. De restaurants en mensen praten nog steeds hierover. De Nederlandse supporters hebben zo een positiviteit achtergelaten. Dit beeld gaat niet meer stuk hier. De politie zag het legioen de brug overtrekken zeiden ze. Ze wisten eerst niet wat ze konden verwachten. En toen brak het feest los. Politie was ook onder de indruk. De Restaurant houder die ik sprak was er nog emotioneel van. Maar dit evenement is in heel Zwitserland bekend. En het is als Hollander een stuk makkelijker om binnen te komen bij de toch wel gereserveerde Zwitser. Het ijs breekt sneller.

Ik herinner me nog op de heenweg op de Duitse Autobahn richting de Zwitserse grens, dat op de radio een Duitse truckchauffeur werd geïnterviewd. Hij bleek op dezelfde weg te rijden maar hij zei de indruk te hebben in Nederland te zijn omdat hij alleen maar Nederlandse kentekens om zich heen zag 🤣 Wat een feest was dat zeg, sweet memories.
