what did you use to clean the iacv and throttle body?

we use an EGR & Carb cleaner spray, the one we have at the moment is from Holts and is around £7 from amazon.

Excellent video with great info. I will be looking at this as I have an 04 jimmy that you drive 1 km down the road , stop at a red light and revs drop to a 1000 and then drop to 500 back to 650 and then back to normal idle. Thanks for taking the time to share. Cheers

@@rsbharley4766 one thing I forgot to add as i had already done it, drain some coolant first. Only enough to drop the level below the throttle body, or coolant will leak out of the hoses when you remove them.

Great video, thanks! Do you need to drain the coolant first? I've tried to remove the throttle body, but from the pipes attached to it, it is dripping a lot of coolant. Any tips ? Thanks

Sorry for the late reply - we've been away. I should have mentioned this. As the Idle Control Valve works from the temp of the coolant, it has a feed in and out. However because its so high in the system, it only needs a small amount to be drained so it falls below the height of the throttle body - if that makes sense?
