Carl's JR is one of the most quality fast food places I've ever seen! The three fourths pound Swiss and mushroom is amazing.

I live in Indiana, USA; and where I live they're called Hardees. They're one of my favorite fast food burgers :)

Due to the minimum wage increases, prices of nearly everything doubled the past 2 years. The price is about the same as what you paid, although yes, you once could leave the place with a full meal for under five dollars.

Somebody's probably already said this but there has been Carl's Jr in Australia since February last year. There's one at Bateau Bay on the Central Coast, and one at Brisbane airport

Mmm...Great great choice. Just for your information Carl's Junior is a U.S. burger chain that originated in California. In some parts of the U.S. it is called Hardee's.

Carl's Jr..haven't eaten their food since I was a kid..they kind of faded out in my area..if ever in Texas..Whataburger!! Their Patty Melt is sheer delight!
Nice review, Grego! Here in The States, Carl's Jr. used to be much better. Now they are just like everyone else, except more expensive. :(
They do, however, offer a $1 Spicy Chicken Sandwich that is tastier than the other chains. That's a "thing" over here - the $1 spicy chicken sandwich wars. lol!
For a burger, I'm going to stick with my homemade Ramly copycat using this wacky Aussie's recipe. ;)
We have Carl's Jr here in New Zealand and my favourite burger is the Jim Beam Bourbon Burger. The sauce is tangy and sweet (altho you'd expect sweetness from a bourbon burger) with crispy onion sticks, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and like most Carl's Jr burgers their patties are big and filling and can come in 1/3 pound and 1/2 pound sizes. But I agree they are on the expensive side. And their fries and drinks (in my 2 closest stores anyway)... The fries are very average, almost always cold and under-salted and the drinks always seem to be flat too.

That Carls Jr is now a Burger King. Originally, BK was in the basement. Then it got taken over by a Chinese restaurant. Then Carls Jr closed and BK took over its spot.

Ive visited Carls Jr only once, after receiving our over priced food we sat to eat. We watched the children operating the deep fryer have a competition of who could do the biggest spit into the deep fryer??? After that we walked out and never returned.

I use to love Carl's Jr's Western burger before I stopped eating fast food burgers. It wasn't super special but it's the reason I tend to put Barbecue sauce on my home made burgers lol.

Its Hardee's here in the US, and the prices are way lower $7.09 for a thick burger combo( fries and drink) and the meat does remind you of Burger King, but I still love Hardee's!

Carl's Jr. is awesome. There's a couple in Oz now on the Central Coast & Brisbane I think. None in Melbourne yet though where I live :(
That price is crazy. Fast food by definition should be cheap because it's no frills consistent taste that you are paying for. Over $10 you can go to a fancier place.
We have one in Adelaide now, and based on one visit, it is handily better than the competing fast burger joints.
They are in Ipswich and i just eat the regular size and the Carl burger. Nice fresh burger with big crispy lettuce leaf, not soggy. Ate at the west ipswich store and I thought well done for a chain.

Ayyy Carl's Jr is probs the best fast food burger restaurant. I suggest you try the Indonesian Carl's, our bacon is changed with beef strips, and crisscut fries, they're tasty

I like Carl's/Hardees. But then again, I don't like condiments and I don't get veggies on my burgers. So removing that, I like them quite a bit. More so than other fast food places. Their fries are awesome imo. Onion rings as well.
I was going to say you needed to try the Mushroom and Swiss or Frisco but then I discovered the difference between Hardee's and Carl's Jr. They don't have them on the menu.

Hi Greg, $9+ for a burger like that is a rip-off. Even a Big Mac is under $6 where I live. A friend in Los Angeles (who eats take-away at almost every meal) says Carl's Jnr is bottom of the rung for burgers pretty much and In-N-Out is one of the nicer burgers. Thanks for the food review, I wasn't notified of this video, just found it by chance. Enjoy Thailand (been watching your snaps).
I think Carl's Jr is much tastier than burger king, but I've never been a fan of their thickburgers. I always get a superstar with fried zucchini.
