If we had pulled a win over Kentucky the Ike discourse would be quiet right now. He had a phenomenal performance in that game and it was a game we could have and should have closed out, but because of 1 point people are still ragging on him. He deserves his flowers for Kentucky.
@@GC-jb1kp missed free throws really hurt against Kentucky plus 3 point shooting was awful 😞 6/27 & plus out rebounded so yes we need taller physical athletic lineup especially with teams like UConn or Kentucky with really taller players only use the smaller guards when Zags plays against teams with a lineup with 4 fast athletic physical guards not really tall though with one power forward that's tall or big tall center that's when head coach Mark Few plays lot of guards like Ryan Nembhard/Hickman other guards in the rotation
I've enjoyed the last few games between WVU & Gonzaga!! Would like to see em meet up more often! There were rumblings about a bug hitting the team hard last week, which may have factored into some of the sub-par performances. We definitely need the 'Upper GI' (Ike) back to form consistently, to threaten the upper end of our season expectations.
I said it on another video... But I'd like to see Hickman be more aggressive and attack the rim. That would get him to the free throw line and maybe get opponents into foul trouble. As of now he has a total of 4 free throws in 10 games. I don't know if he's wired to be aggressive though.
Especially when the 3's aren't falling. Maybe knocking down a few free throws gets him going from outside. Could be partly to do with coaching as well if they're not asking him to get in the lane and draw fouls
Normally I'd be absolutely furious that someone in Spokane would cheer against WSU. However, I understand. Because WSU is now a serious threat to The Gonzaga. So I take it as a compliment.
While I don’t think it’s necessary to burry Graham with calls for him to sit, I do think his underperforming has been very concerning. Few is quick to take him out when he’s not doing well which is good considering I don’t think Huff has what it takes to be the main post player right now.
I think the biggest takeaway is that Ike plays well situationally. When the environment is right he can go crazy (see Kentucky game) and when the environment is off he just doesn’t have what it takes to create his own buckets (see Uconn).
No need to take him out of the starting lineup at this point but instead just realize that he’s more of a specialist than a Swiss Army knife. We should focus on developing other avenues for offense and lean on Ike when the time is right. It feels like we as a fan base expected him to have a Timme time breakout moment and be the sort of big that can generate offense under any scenario. I think that expectation was a bit unfair
Need a true center rim protector we have a freshman 17 year old Ismaila Diagne 7 foot still growing on the bench just wasting full year of equipment eligibility should either redshirt him with saving a year or put him in the rotation plus I'm assuming head coach Mark Few is slowly developing him in Zags practice but needs to be playing against teams like UConn or Kentucky for keeping players like Graham Ike out of foul trouble because he's not even a center just power forward going up against taller physical athletic centers over 7 feet tall Graham Ike is only about 6'9 or 6'10
Once again supposed 'fans' come out of the woodwork over some losses to troll. I suspect there will be apologies owed by the end of the year AGAIN at which time all these trolls will disappear AGAIN.

Just imagine if Chet Holmgren/Jalen Suggs wasn't one done players for the Zags that's exactly why I would stay far away from one done players unless you know you can win national championship game in NCAA tournament otherwise it's just waste of time & I'm assuming if Chet Holmgren/Jalen Suggs didn't leave would of been a really good chance that Zags would of won national championship game with head coach Mark Few finally getting a that big win so he can retire because we'll know he won't be the head coach forever
