Depending on what was going on in his head, he would indeed crack a joke with a loved one in danger. Asura is right, the movies have watered down Spidey's lines. In the comics, the only time he shuts up is when he's angry in which case he also stops holding back.

We can all agree that Spider-Man has the physical advantage. Way faster, way stronger. But I find it difficult to imagine Maul not winning when all he needs to do is exactly what he did in the video. Bust his web shooters and, instead of pushing him off a 10ft ledge, launch him as high into the air and the force would allow. Even Spidey can't survive a long fall to splatsville

TheWalkingRed Spider-Man in the comics has repeatedly made parachutes out of his webbing. He’s also survived falling off of multiple story buildings at terminal velocity. Once you hit terminal velocity an extra 1000 feet doesn’t matter, you go the same speed and hit with the same force. Gravity has limits. The only way I see Spider-Man losing is through force choke, but he’s beaten telepaths before.

I get that Spidey is known to be humorous and all that, but Peter would never jeopardize anyone's safety for the sake of making jokes, especially MJ's. Wow, I actually didn't remember that. Now that you mention, there is a specific scene in one of Peter's first fights where he mentions he jokes about situations he's afraid of. I still think that this was a very extreme situation where his worries would show, but I can't say that I'm right and you're wrong, It's all a matter of interpretation. There is a spiderman with natural webbing and a spiderman with the cartridges (not sure which is which but one comes from the amazing universe and there other a handful of others, I.E. Plus the symbiote was the reason Spidey and Maul fought in the first place. No, Darth Maul should not have won. He was completely outclassed from the beginning. The symbiote just made Parker force his hand and kill Maul, which is customary of these beat downs: The loser dying.

I know this is an old video but of all the movies and tv shows this may be one of the most accurate live action depictions of Spiderman in terms of how he moves, his acrobatics, his agility and speed. Spidey is not a trained fighter(not until he studies under Shang Chi that is) but his superhuman speed, super athletic abilities and spider sense enable him to go toe-to-toe with anybody. The acting and humor is close too.
For those who are making comments about how Spider-Man is way too much like DeadpooI it's CLEARLY obvious that they are only used to what you have seen in the films and never picked up a comic book in your life because Deadpool has always been known to resemble Spider-Man especially the wise cracking aspect and not the other way around. Peter Parker has always been bullied in life and never gets the chance to lash out to protect his secret identity but when he puts on that mask his sole purpose is to take it out on criminals by driving them nuts with his sarcastic witty banters as a distraction which actually works. The films have clearly decided to lower that missing element that's key to it's character in the same way that Wolverine is missing his Iconic Mask and comic book accurate costume by Fox Studios and I am glad that Marvel Studio's embraces those aspects for the exception of Thor with his missing helmet because at least they look like the characters from the comics. Batinthesun clearly did their homework and gave true justice to the actual character of Spider-Man within a short segment compared to hours of film material that just couldn't get that iconic missing element from the original source material so thank you.

Spidey's speed and agility are far beyond anything even someone like Darth Maul could handle, and his endurance would have allowed him to tahe more punishment than he received in the video. Let's not forget that Spidey has taken out people who could wipe the floor with a Jedi or a Sith in the past. It's not just his powers that are in play here, it's his experience coupled with his imagination and his intellect.

Then it also depends on the clocked reaction times of the Sith/Force Users, so if we're basing that on Anakin, for all force users, and clocked his reaction time for pod racing. I am not good on math but someone would have to clock how fast a seasoned force user like Darth Maul can react.

Spider-sense is probably not a match for a mastery of the Dark Side of the Force, but Maul is too dependent and overconfident, I think his underestimation of Peter's adaptability would be his undoing, even without the power and aggression of the symbiote, but this result is JUST as badass. Yeah, assuming Maul doesn't say....crush spiderman's skull with telekinesis before he can do anything, I think spider man could win in a CQC. Maul is barely a B tier Sith. But the fact that Spider man isn't force sensitive means he has no counters to Maul's powers. Yet Maul can match Spider man's precognition, strength, speed, and agility. Maul would only deal with spiderman in a fair fight in a few, specific scenarios. Any force user strong as Maul would just annihilate any character that doesn't have telekinesis, magic, or tons of durability. If this weren't a popularity contest, Maul would...maul spiderman.

The symbiote makes Spider-Man more sinister and quicker to kill enemies and also makes his webbing organic. He's also stronger and faster and he was too quick for Darth Maul while Darth Maul relied too heavily on his lightsaber. If he straight up used the force he would win.

Leon Dilkshake Well, the thing is Force Restraint basically makes your brain unable to tell your body to move, only force users can struggle if the intent is for the Sith to feed off of the restrainee's agony, to see them struggle. This could work on anyone who has a central nervous system. He could even do this to Superman. It cuts that connection, by which you can do to them as you please, Maybe torture, or slashes with your lightsaber, or for a Sith assassin that does his job as quickly as possible, a quick force choke.

Wow, I actually didn't remember that. Now that you mention, there is a specific scene in one of Peter's first fights where he mentions he jokes about situations he's afraid of. I still think that this was a very extreme situation where his worries would show, but I can't say that I'm right and you're wrong, It's all a matter of interpretation. +João Ghiraldini Yeah, it depends on which spiderman they are using. From what I remember, Spiderman would wise-crack from time to time, as said in some of the previous comments. There is a spiderman with natural webbing and a spiderman with the cartridges (not sure which is which but one comes from the amazing universe and there other a handful of others, I.E. Scarlet Spider and so on).

I know this is an old video but of all the movies and tv shows this may be one of the most accurate live action depictions of Spiderman in terms of how he moves, his acrobatics, his agility and speed. Spidey is not a trained fighter(not until he studies under Shang Chi that is) but his superhuman speed, super athletic abilities and spider sense enable him to go toe-to-toe with anybody. The acting and humor is close too.

For those who are making comments about how Spider-Man is way too much like DeadpooI it's CLEARLY obvious that they are only used to what you have seen in the films and never picked up a comic book in your life because Deadpool has always been known to resemble Spider-Man especially the wise cracking aspect and not the other way around. Peter Parker has always been bullied in life and never gets the chance to lash out to protect his secret identity but when he puts on that mask his sole purpose is to take it out on criminals by driving them nuts with his sarcastic witty banters as a distraction which actually works. The films have clearly decided to lower that missing element that's key to it's character in the same way that Wolverine is missing his Iconic Mask and comic book accurate costume by Fox Studios and I am glad that Marvel Studio's embraces those aspects for the exception of Thor with his missing helmet because at least they look like the characters from the comics. Batinthesun clearly did their homework and gave true justice to the actual character of Spider-Man within a short segment compared to hours of film material that just couldn't get that iconic missing element from the original source material so thank you.

It's not just his powers that are in play here, it's his experience coupled with his imagination and his intellect.

Yeah, assuming Maul doesn't say....crush spiderman's skull with telekinesis before he can do anything, I think spider man could win in a CQC. Maul is barely a B tier Sith.
But the fact that Spider man isn't force sensitive means he has no counters to Maul's powers. Yet Maul can match Spider man's precognition, strength, speed, and agility. Maul would only deal with spiderman in a fair fight in a few, specific scenarios. Any force user strong as Maul would just annihilate any character that doesn't have telekinesis, magic, or tons of durability.

Leon Dilkshake Yeah, but... he fights. You see he's good, so you Force push onto a wall, and restrain him with the force, force choke, done. Even Spider-Man needs Oxygen. I mean Inquisitors can restrain a Jedi person that way and Maul is a Sith Lord, so if a puny henchman to the Order of the Sith can do it, so can Maul.

Leon Dilkshake Well, the thing is Force Restraint basically makes your brain unable to tell your body to move, only force users can struggle if the intent is for the Sith to feed off of the restrainee's agony, to see them struggle. This could work on anyone who has a central nervous system. He could even do this to Superman. It cuts that connection, by which you can do to them as you please, Maybe torture, or slashes with your lightsaber, or for a Sith assassin that does his job as quickly as possible, a quick force choke.
