Why we use the Sigma 18-35mm Lens for Every Project || GH5/S1H

The Sigma 18-35mm Lens is a crucial part of our productions. It is a genuine beast and we'd love to share with you the reasons behind that!
This is NOT an in depth review. It is purely just a few small reasons why we continue to keep this lens on our cameras.

I plan to buy this lens for wedding videography with my GH5. Is it usable considering the slow focus? Is anyone used it for wedding or other scenario where face autofocus is preffered? Thank you

I used that exact setup for weddings in the past! Personally didnt notice any issues, and the focus was fast enough 😄

Dude! Stop tempting me lol kidding! So I have the metabones xL for my gh6, on the s1h, would this lens allow any FF options or do you use it strictly in s35 mode? I was considering the sigma 24-35 but the 18-35 offers a better range for the gh6. Thoughts?

Would have loved the Metabones! I actually ended up selling my 18-35 because now I have a FF 24-70 that I just can’t take off haha! So you can update the 18-35 to allow for FF shooting but it vignettes anywhere before 28mm. On the GH series it’s totally fine and absolutely perfect 👍

I think the Sigma 17-70mm lens and Sigma 17-50mn are both equally as versatile

Thats a good point! Definitely a great choice, however for MFT cameras such as the GH5 It is nice to have the 1.8 Aperture for certain lighting situations.

i sold this lens because it was just so heavy and bulky, but honestly i regret getting rid of it. it was such a great lens i might end up getting it agian lol
