Why is it so satisfying to see an idiot dump his bike when they’re riding like they are in the Isle of Man? When they ricochet off the guard rail I always feel bad for the bike but ultimately I’m always grateful that it happened. Not because I wish misfortune on a rider but b/c accidents make you a better rider. A lot of people don’t get to learn from their mistakes. Some will tell you from first-hand experience that even the low speed mishaps can have devastating consequences. A minor accident in a car can often be deadly serious if a motorcycle is also involved.
The first clip of the guy hitting the sign is like me in gta trying to ride a dirt bike in gta. Gotta look out for those signs jumping in front of you man 😔
The road is a 60mph road and the bike is a 125 so cannot really go faster than that anyway. The lens is deceptive but from 60 I had to brake to an almost stop because the guy pulled out and just didn't move. The car coming the other way had to do an emergency stop as well. In the UK "give way" (yield) means "do not make traffic on the road deviate speed or direction". If you have to brake because someone pulls out, they haven't given way. If you have to slam on your brakes (I was braking far harder than it looks in the video, it's deceptive because of the stupid tiny engine revving to 12000rpm just to hit 60mph and the camera angle). If the road was wet I would have hit the truck, for sure. If there was gravel I would have done as well - the ABS was kicking in so I was braking as hard as possible. He had a clear view in both directions but still chose to pull out in front of traffic coming both ways.

When he was visable for the van he put it back in front of him. The van decided to fill the gap again and hit him. IF the van never saw him, he would have rear ended him. But proven that he only hit is boot, that shows that the van did move over a bit to the right to ''make room'' for the rider. The van driver just should never have filled the gap again.
@RightIsWrong you should look again. He was going 8mph when approaching the van. When he passes him he opens up till 25mph. But that was only because there was a gap when the other car merged to the right. The whole direction wasn't going faster than 10mph at max. I'm a traffic officer myself and there was nothing wrong. The van just shouldn't have closed the gap.
@@wackophobe2827 If it was considered a bicycle, he still has cannot undertake in a lane that is occupied with no shoulder. That lane is for the vehicle that is already in it. The vehicle that is occupying the lane has no way to see or avoid the "cyclist" in that case, so even if there is some weird loophole where they are allowed to do it, it's ridiculously risky.

The rear brake had nothing to with the front brakes getting caught. If you watch the whole thing I’m pretty sure I explained that it only happened because I gave away my fairings and don’t have the front tire fender. The back brake worked but I only mentioned it because you need it for wheelies to avoid looping

But I dont think anyone said the back brakes caused the issue with front brakes. My point was that you were already riding with bad back brakes, whick compounded the loss of the front brakes from a minor issue to a big deal. And from what I understand, you still rode it that way? Others seem to be saying that you caused your issues. You now seem to have confirmed that to be the case.

Came to watch because my first emergency stop as a driver was today I was driving my dads truck and we came across a car and Harley ultra on the side of the road and there was a 95 heritage softail nostalgia special and a lady in the ditch less than a mile from their house we knew them. We called 911and stopped or slowed traffic until the authorities arrived. She was wearing her helmet and was moving and talking when they put her in the ambulance. She road the bike off-road about 100 yards and then went into the ditch, hit a rock, and caught air for 5 feet before being flung off. These roads in Preston County WV are really bad and gravel is probably what caused it. My stepmom said if it were her on her sportster she probably couldn’t have held on that long and that the bigger bike helped her I just hope she with make a full and quick recovery and that beautiful bike can ride again. The main issue with the bike looked like frame damage aside from the front fender and a few smaller things.
I’m amazed at how many don’t know the technique for lifting a motorbike off the ground. Grab it by the hand grips. Turn wheel towards he direction you are lifting and you’re done. Used to be part of getting a bike license here.

Came to watch because my first emergency stop as a driver was today I was driving my dads truck and we came across a car and Harley ultra on the
side of the road and there was a 95 heritage softail nostalgia special and a lady in the ditch less than a mile from their house we knew them. We called 911and stopped or slowed traffic until the authorities arrived. She was wearing her helmet and was moving and talking when they put her in the ambulance. She road the bike off-road about 100 yards and then went into the ditch, hit a rock, and caught air for 5 feet before being flung off. These roads in Preston County WV are really bad and gravel is probably what caused it. My stepmom said if it were her on her sportster she probably couldn’t have held on that long and that the bigger bike helped her I just hope she with make a full and quick recovery and that beautiful bike can ride again. The main issue with the bike looked like frame damage aside from the front fender and a few smaller things.
I’m amazed at how many don’t know the technique for lifting a motorbike off the ground. Grab it by the hand grips. Turn wheel towards he direction you are lifting and you’re done. Used to be part of getting a bike license here.
