If he had placed his ult on the right timing they would've won the teamfight with more ease and with time to spare getting resources. They could've taken the turtle if they wiped them out quickly. They also could've taken that extra 100g plating in the midlane. Yes they won the teamfight, but they would've won more in the long run basis if he placed that ult on time.
yve main here and positioning is key. they're played like xavier. both need insane map awareness, with yve you need to confidently tap or slide in ult even if enemy get out of sight. xavier does the snipe but useful in reaping or layering damage against the enemy.
I was supreme yve once and it had way more DMG but you needed to have the best positioning not you would die back then as there was no movement speed Sometimes you had to sacrifice your ult just to survive
I play Yve without her ult most of the time lol. Her ult makes her such an easy target when there is no peel. But her other two skill cd are so low that you can just spam and reposition quickly
Same, but i think that's how you should play her. Her main damage skill is her 1st skill, so i max that out first and spam it while moving around to distance myself enemies. Her Ult is better to support you allies in team fights or to slow down target.

After casting yve's ult, you should slide first atleast 5-6 stacks to slow the enemies so you have better accuracy of tapping the other stacks.
During her ult you can slide to slow and tap for more damage. Her shield is also amped when she hits someone with both of her reg abilities.
