Good tip for you, let off the brakes 0.01 seconds later and push the throttle a little earlier too, you can slow down less by doing this because what I said gives you extra rotation, don’t do it too much or too little it does take time to find the sweet spot
bro i just did my first ever session on a race kart i spun on on 2nd lap on the like really round area right then i broke a tie rod so i started going slowly, gonna try to push harder next time
Unfortunately I don't own a kart, the one I'm driving in the video is rented. I think a brand new race kart would probably set you back 12-13k sgd excluding all the consumables and maintenance if I'm not wrong.

Welcome to the world of 2-stroke haha
@@jaywiay_on_track it was wet also…
@@ow3nnnh Yeeaah those conditions are tricky to judge
@@jaywiay_on_track first time race kart also First time wet track 1;06.344
@@ow3nnnh Hey that's pretty decent I think
How does it compare to 4 stroke race karts and 4 stroke rentals? What differs at the wheel for you?
Rental chassis -> race chassis = much more nimble.
4 stroke engine -> 2 stroke engine = much much MUCH more power.
@@jaywiay_on_track Ah, alr, that's cool. Is this your own kart?
Unfortunately no haha, this is actually rented from one of the race teams there
@@jaywiay_on_track Oh, do they still provide such a service? I wouldn't mind having a go in such a kart if possible........
@@foxgaming76yt24 Yes they do! You can just search for "GT Racing Team Singapore", they have an online booking system
i think on your out lap try to go faster to warm up the tyres more
anyone lookibg for cheap secondhand racekarts?
How hard is the steering js asking
I'd say it's lighter than rental 4-strokes, but still physically demanding on small radius turns
Wow how much is your own go kart ?

@@jaywiay_on_track Oh, there's a rental service for race karts at Kranji?
@@foxgaming76yt24 Yep, many local teams do race kart rental actually :)
@@jaywiay_on_track interesting, had no idea. I might have to see which are willing to do rentals haha
Are you going to do this often?
Oh hello
yeah I'm currently going twice a month, this week I'll be having my 4th session, so I actually still have a lot of footage to edit and upload
@@jaywiay_on_track u rent or bought ur own kart? If rent u rent from which team?
@@evanllim I rent and don't own any karts sadly. Previously I rented from GT Racing Singapore, nowadays I rent from Veritas Racing.
@@jaywiay_on_track Ise... race gears also rent? or personally bought them?
@@evanllim The team will provide everything you need, but for me personally I have my own helmet, gloves and shoes
