i got a big flyer and i’m 5’9 and 14 year old. the bike fits me perfect and it’s a very smooth bike for wheelies and combos in my opinion.

Blocks is good. It’s easy to upgrade and not too expensive. I’d say just go hydro rim brakes and maxis hookworms and it’s a perfect wheelie bike
box 3 brakes are good too
5,0 and I’m 13 (short asf), I have a 2021 big flyer in SE blue color way. With hookworms, pnw grips. I can pop it up fine now, it took my 2 months to learn bc I had to build up strength in my calves and transition from wheeling a mtn bike to an se bike, i can only hold it for 10-15 sec seeing as I’m just learning to use the brake but I’m getting there

If you want a skinny tire so cal make sure you get like a 2019 one cuz the 2021 and decently big

I am starting to wheelie and I ride a 26" Dirt Jumper KHS SJ-100 To be exact it's a nice dirt jumper! I am 4'9 yes im very short but still, I am practicing I am considering buying a So Cal or a Blocks Flyer. I'm leaning towards the So Cal. I also have a 27.5 Hardtail and it's hard as it's still kinda big. My best is holding 2 pedals lol!

Ive ridden many sizes, the best being the one i currently own, a 27 inch maniacc flyer, im 5 '8 and it fits me perfectly
I think for me the big riper would fit me best but I'd still pick the beast mod

I picked up on a 2021 blocks flyer and it suits me well for 5 foot two
Personally I ride BMX not wheelie(I mean I do do wheelies on a 26 inch Thruster) but I ride a 20 inch bike for street bmx freestyle it is fine for me but keep up the good work Lawton!

Don’t let size discourage you people. The so cal flyer on the manufacturers website says it’s for riders 5’3” up, I’m about that or even taller and I have one.

i have that exact pk and i am 5’9 lol. it’s an amazing bike, it rides so smooth, i definitely love the bigger handle bars and the hydros

Yo Lawton if you want a bigger big trust me get a big flyer I have a 2021 big flyer and it’s mint it’s amazing for swerving and for combos it stays up really well

Especially with things like the Fat Ripper, P.K. ect.. I’ve seen guys way over 6 foot ride it, I mean obviously they could ride any bike on this list considering 20 is and adult bmx size, but I mean for wheelies, I guess it could just be preference but they are all pretty big

btw that problem you said about the bottom bracket, was it a click everytime you pedal and the occasional crackle when applying pressure, because thats what i have and its annyoing af ://

You don’t need hydraulics I don’t know why people choose them over rim brakes unless there’s no holes for rim brakes. Kool stops stop on a dime 10/10 no matter how fast but whatever

I got the block flyer 45 anniversary my parents got it for me but idk if it’s the best fit tbh and for some reason it tired are kinda like the fat ripper

Remove all the accessories all of it remove all the weight front back if you live in a country with no uphill roads remove the front brake

Honestly I'm 4,7 and 11 years old, I was looking for a cheap starter bike option and I came across the SE Bikes Ripper BMX Bike 2022 but its 20'' I haven't bought it yet but I'm saving for it, I have a feeling that it is already going to be a little smaller than me. Can I have some advice whether or not I should buy it or move on to a bigger bike but more money. I love your vids Lawton!

My dilemma is I want a 27.5 but every 27.5 I see has disc brakes. I really prefer rim brakes unless disc brakes really aren’t as bad as I think? Last time I rode disc I was just learning to wheelie but it seems like they weren’t as consistent as rim brakes as far as brake fade
Idk what disc brakes you have tried but in general they are miles ahead of rim brakes. Mechanical disc brakes are good just make sure everything is greased and moves easily. The cheapest shimano hydraulic brakes (mt200?) are the next step up from mechanical brakes and are very good.
