Hi, Jono! That Scallop @ 8:46 is gorgeous (I'm somewhat partial to Scallops). Oh, and that Octopus is VERY cool. Back to the vid...thanks for taking us along 😎 🐚

That octopus did you a favor by eating that cowrie. Crazy we got to see it. Hey we get Scotch bonnets too but they are much smaller and usually white in Palm Beach Florida

No, we don't get bonnets like that in Florida. I have bought 2 of them like the ones you all get over there. WOW what an amazing octopus! Made my day 😍 I'd go crazy shelling those rocks and finding what you find! Awesome! Thx for showing the close up of the shells so we could see the detail!!! Lovely!

Thanks for filming the octopus - that was awesome! i loved watching the waves and the sea. While I would never want to live near the beach, it is beautiful. So compelling to watch. The waves look ferocious.

Cowries are what the ancient Hawaiian people used for "Bait" to catch Octopus. Sometimes there will be a huge, sun bleached, ancient Cowrie shell mixed in with the rocks, with the tell tale circular hole that the Hawaiian Hunters made in the shell to tie the string to.

Aaah that one you found in 4:8 I have one but it's a bit broken, it really hard to find a whole one where I came from. I actually had two but I gifted one to my cuzz it was whole black and white with a bit of gray in color.
Sweet my dad told me he knows a spot where they can be found I hope I find while ones with beautiful colors.

I really need to get back here and grab some of those cowries!! I'd never seen an octopus there but have seen a sea snake. I' need to have a better look on the northern side.

Hi, I've been following your videos for a couple of months now, but this is my first comment on one of your videos.
I would like to know what brand or type of gloves do you usually use and what protection do they provide?

I think you interrupted that octopuses meal. Also, octopuses certainly can hurt you. They have beaks they can bite with and strong arms. But, I think they'd prefer to run away.

DO NOT collect live creatures, no matter what the shell looks like leave it behind to create more!

He doesn't collect live shells, and he also brings back shells that he has back to the beach
