"Don't forget about what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he ever wanted. He lived happily ever after."
He was a magical kind of person.
gene wilder helped me through a difficult time in my life when i was struggling with candy addiction i was bloated & blue & he saved my life
Umm... watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder. It's a reference to that.
roxblue257 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory**
It’s really kinda sad you missed the entire point to this video, and made it about YOU
@@jnnx Considering the point of the video was the importance of making people laugh.. and considering that FAYMprod's post made me laugh.. well, I think they got the point.
Dude, I hear ya...me too....i went through a tough time in that Juicing Room, but he helped me through. But not everyone was so fortunate...one girl was ejected for being a bad egg!
For those shocked by gene's death, imagine how he feels. He still doesn't know it happened.
@Walter B you actually expect someone to remember a joke from 3 years ago?
im assuming it was something to do with the fact he was dead and dead people dont know things.
Butt Socks lol
@@ince55ant It's actually mildly comforting to think that you won't know that you're dead.
@@ince55ant you might not answer but that joke mad me smile. Thank you.
Yep. God willed his death. Or fate, if you prefer ;).
Such a wonderful voice. People tend to overlook that.
wow - that's a really good point now that I think about it
Unmistakeable
So kind and gentle.. 💙
It really is! His voice has a great melody and grace to it; it’s very soothing.
Name two.
God bless you, Mr. Wilder. #RIPGeneWilder
Yup
Beautiful, gentle man. Just the gentle tone in his voice and his overall sweetness. I miss him.
Wow, this is so touching. The pain of having sick parents at a young age and the constant anxiety, fear and guilt that comes along with it is dismissed so often, and not easily understood by most people. His words perfectly encapsulate the feelings and effects of such experiences on some children, which are carried throughout their lives. The feeling of freedom that comes with playing different characters via performance is otherworldly and relieving. Thank you so much Blank on Blank for these videos, they are so inspiring and profound. And, thank you Gene Wilder for the magic, movies and the memories. R.I.P. ❤️
I would've loved to have seen him work with Wes Anderson
Maybe in the afterlife we can see amazing movies made by great actors of the past.
@@kos2919 creepy
@@GhostfaceDylan that sounds amazing to me? If that were happening the best movie would be in heaven.
@@samrogers5090 What kind of camera equipment do they have in heaven? They using Ultra Panavision 70 film stock? Or they filming on a RED digital? Do they have 70mm film projectors in heaven or is it more of a 4k laser projection situation?
@@GhostfaceDylan all of em haha
dude is brutally honest, guilt is a powerful thing.
tomitstube - True, but it is a terrible motivator.
A one of kind actor who truly deserves special recognition for his work.
He was the music maker, and the dreamer of dreams 🌹
The man was and is a legend. My father introduced me to Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks and we've bonded over all there movies. The way I see it what made Gene Wilder a great actor was not what he said but how he said it. Whether it was with a hand motion or the emphasizes a word or a phrase it just sticks with you. He and other comedy legends we have lost will always be missed but never forgotten.
What a true genius with a beautiful mind....A legend through and through and a blessing to the world.
An absolutely wonderful time with Gene Wilder. The man just exudes kindness and decency. Blank on Blank could not have been more honoring in their presentation of Mr. Wilder.
A most worthy effort.
I had just watched this video last week... His memory was so vivid in my mind.
You brought happiness to our lives, Mr. Wilder.
Rest in Peace.
Touching, and revealing. I'm not funny in life either. Now it makes sense why I write Romantic Comedies, picturing Gene Wilder as the lead. I learned so much about the art and psychology of comedy from his movies.
We need this kind of decency so badly in the media and culture in general nowadays...
Weird how much he dislikes the F-word considering all the films he made with Richard Pryor. Also remember watching this interview in its original cut and he had to take rather a lot more time to answer the questions. Still, some absolute classic films of a style that is no longer made.
Good ear and good point. Thanks for watching.
Richard Pryor had a way with the F word. In his possession, the word was sometimes superfluous like with anyone else, granted. However, oftentimes Pryor just knew how to use that word properly, for maximum effect. Pryor wielded the F word like a young Errol Flynn wielded a sword. Once you've heard the best, everyone else pales.
Perhaps Wilder doesn't like hearing other people use the F word, or similar colorful metaphors, because most people use profanity like a child playing with Daddy's gun.
Yeah I heard the newer 2013 Interview on YT w Robert Osborne-A MUST-but he was def a part of the 1970-1980's scene of R movies like STIR CRAZY and partnered with the KING OF THE F WORD, THE GREAT RICHARD PRYOR! I mean, C'Mon! but this is what getting older does-skews perspective and how innocent things were-UMM YEAH_NO!!! But we love gen regardless and want him back in SOMETHING-ANYTHING! Its been TOO FUCKING LONG! SORRY GENE!
He's being polite for the sake of the interviewer/audience. He was being sincere vs acting in one of those classic Richard Pryor flicks.
Well that's acting. That's like saying "weird how much he dislikes murder, yet he murdered a guy in that one movie"
Gene is a Beautiful soul.
you are, and always will, be missed
Never have I been so emotionally connected to what one single man has said. It tugs at heart strings that have long been dead silent. I feel as though just by listening to this man I may gain strength for my future endeavors. Ty gene. I’ll see you one day I hope.
why can't the good ones live forever? =-( so sad. we will miss you so much
It’s like Billy Joel said; “only the good die young!”
He put a smile on my face.
RIP Gene. What a wonderful performer and seemingly a sweet man as well.
Not just a great actor, but a great human being.
That EKG strip actually represents a true STEMI (heart attack). Nice work Blank on Blank.
Resident Doc Patrick Smith is on the case.
***** ...and I'll bet he thought nobody would notice :)
hope that makes up for the guitar chords i invented on kurt cobain.
Patrick Smith What's more important Doc, getting the chords right or getting the EKG interpretation right? You're still a winner in my book.
Without at least seeing other leads, it is not possible to say that with any certainty. Acute pericarditis also presents with ST elevation which can be *identical* to that in an acute MI, but in all leads instead of just the leads that correlate with infarcted tissue. Lab work, echocardiography and angiography don't hurt, either, but at face value, there is not enough info in that one strip to declare it is without a doubt a STEMI. I have seen too many ER docs jump to this conclusion because they could not recognize a pericarditis EKG.
There, I have done my pedantic deed for the day, I feel reasonably superior to everyone else in the world. Time to go sit by myself in the dusty basement and hurt from the loneliness and darkness that comes from being an internet corrections agent. 😔
He's certainly earned his retirement but it sure would be great to see him on screen again.
Crazy to think this comment was before his death. We didn't know at the time that he suffered from alzheimers and kept it a secret for years
A great great man. Worth checking out more of his interviews. There are not many in later life, but so worth the search.
he had an angelic presence, beautiful human being.Nice tribute to him.
RIP to a comical genius
always thought that part was directed....that's exactly the impression i had on his character from then on, the man's magnificent lol
What a voice. You can tell he's so kind.
Love you, Gene!! Your stories truly are orchestral dressings to the beautiful ballads your musings bring! You have touched millions & millions more to come
I love this guy. Growing up some of the best times I had in my childhood was enjoying his movies on tv with my big bro. Woman in red is one of the first movies I remember as a child. Good times thanx to this fine gentleman. Love him dearly for those fond memories. Even if only in those moments
I could listen to this man talk all day.
I miss Gene Wilder. Such a gentle man. And a gentleman.
Matthew Bradley i miss srv too
I love Gene wilder, I remember he was in a movie about a little boy stranded and he was trying to get home and Gene played a fox and there was a snake, I think. Its been so long ago and i was so young. but I remembered him, he made a big impression on me. I never saw willy wonka tho....Idk why.
That would be The Little Prince. :)
AAAAH ! Thats it! Thanx,
this was beautiful.
R.I.P Gene Wilder a wonderful actor very funny... 😔will be missed
I grew up watching your movies and you will never leave my heart. I miss you man
I only have good memories associated with ths man.. So many good memories.. Rip Gene Wilder
You sir have brought a lot of pure happiness into my life. You are greatly missed. Cheers and rest in peace
Wilder had to have been, one of the last few actors with actual self-awareness and respect for his craft.
This is really touching. I can relate ❤❤❤ I always loved gene and Richard (pryor).
Gene Wilder. He will never be duplicated. RIP.
Gene Wilder had such a calming voice.
The world legend gets bandied about quite often but in Gene Wilder's case it's absolutely deserved. A master of his craft and what a lovely man he was too.
He brought me my first laughs at the movies. Young Frankenstein. Thanks, Gene,. I miss you.
Oh waw, this is so touching ! Beautiful interview !
Boisterously soft-spoken and Brilliant!
I really appreciate how you don't add music.
Right?? You can appreciate the voices of these legends! ❤
love this man
he was such a nice person
Really good!
I always loved that scene, and that was the exact way it made me feel!
Also always wanted to know why Wilder's filmography ends so suddenly.
My second favorite actor, after Raul Julia. This video made me realize why I love him so much. I should have known that the trickster style of Wonka's re-appearance was his idea. And he's right about how empty movies are when they're nothing but special effects and vulgarity.
As tear rolls down loved this great person of magical ways he had the best story in life miss the times wonder what he thinks
these are my favorite videos on the internet
Wonderful. One of my favourite actors. See you on the other side Gene, I hope you're making your mother laugh every day x
It's been almost 8 months or so after he died. I am still destroyed over his death. Rest In Peace.
If anyone knows the movie. The ending of him explaining about how he got his role, it’s so awesome and makes so much sense. That’s Wonka !
💛💛💛💛 one of my all time favorite digital stories 💛💛💛💛
his voice is so relaxing and clam
One of my favs since I was a kid.
Rest in peace Gene, we'll all miss your talent and the joy you brought, and will continue to bring to billions, thank you for it all!
That was beautiful
I've always loved Gene
Love that man.♡
why do these videos make me feel strangely pleased?
I loved that mans he was smart and funny .. excellent actor and truly funny .. talent was oozing from him.. Rest In Peace ✌🏼
' Put the book 📕 back '🎙️ Loved Gene Wilders work and humor •
Thanks for the laughs and the love Mr. Wilder
You will be missed very much))
wow i cried so much today
This is making me cry 😢 😭 🤧
These interview videos are all so good!
Magical...just magical.
What a great animation such a charismatic character
Seems to be an incredibly lovely man.
That was very enlightening
If there is one actor that deserves an honorary Oscar for contributions to cinema, it should go to Wilder.
Gene Wilder is comedic genius and he will always be remembered for your good work. #RipGeneWilder
What a lovely man.
This is my favourite channel in all of youtube!!! Great job guys!
Reunited with Gilda ❤️ RIP
One of the best straight men to ever grace the camera
I've always had the hugest crush on Gene Wilder. Definitely one of my top 3 Celebrity crushes. I think he is so handsome. I think he was hottest in Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein, and The Woman in Red. I read Gilda Radner's autobiography and she was so cute about how in love she was with Gene, I could def. see why! I've read Gene's autobio too and it's really good, and a little sexy (he talks a lot about his sexual encounters with women)!
***** partly! lol! i forgot to respond to your last comment -_- sorry about that. Hugs from the U.S.! Would love to go to U.K. one day. That's where you're from yes?
Gene loved Gilda til she died, and he always will. A greater brother there never was. I'm so full of dark beer. I must tell this to you Brandi before I pass out: "These will I give to you, Brandi, an armlet of frozen gold. Gods cut from the living rock, and carven gems in an amber crock, and a purple woven Tyrian smock, and wine from a pirates' hold. Kings shall kneel at your feet, Brandi, emperors kiss your hand; captive girls for your joy shall dance, slim and straight as a striking lance, who tremble and bow at your mildest glance and kneel at your least command. Galleys shall break the crimson seas seeking delights for you; with silks and silvery fountain gleams I will weave a world that glows and seems a shimmering mist of rainbow dreams, scarlet and white and blue." Where's my bed.
me too about the crush
he lives in conn close to where gilda is buried i always think i should go bring flowers to gilda on her birthday and hang all day and maybe meet him is wife seems very nice too
Yes his wife seems lovely! He is in Stamford right?
Wow that was fantastic
RIP Mr Wilder, and may your lightness and magic follow you forever.
This got me crying
what an amazing man!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the most Increadable people of all time. R.I.P Gene Wilder
What a great man...🙏💗
🎭 Thank You!

Love Gene Wilder...this is great...
I miss him so much
I mourn him every day
Rest In Peace, you magical man.
Such a Beautiful man.
This MAN, GENE WILDER IS LOVED & MISSED-WHEN HE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE! He looks great in newer interview 24 months ago on 92 Y w Robert Osborne-So get back GENE! PLEASE-Don't end it where your last flick was early 1990's! In retrospect-he had a really short career-I was born in 1969 and his first movie was just a few years before that w Bonnie & Clyde and he ended his career when I was 22/23 so thats wild when in that perspective-he could have done 25 movies since then-IT REALLY SUCKS! he is a special presence no matter what he is in-from his best to his HO HUM-GENE IS THE ATTRACTION!
