Great review!!!!...I had one a few days ago, it was good until the half way point, where it just died,tobacco was very tightly wrapped, luckily it relit , definitely a medium body , I think it needs time in a humidor.
Er, try cutting the cap properly... you're not excited about the flavour because the flavour gets noticably watered down when you're trying to suck all that smoke through a tiny hole in the cap. Airflow is hindered, more smoke gets trapped inside the filler and that then can also lead to tainting the flavour as it condenses and also causing the last inches of the cigar to taste bitter unnecessarily.
On the contrary, the consensus is that by drawing through the torn Pig-tail, you get a better taste and expression of the blend. It is also the sign of a very skilled roller. It has a purpose, not just to make the end look nice.

I just ordered a box the other day, so I hope the lackluster flavor is due to youth. Of course, for the price, we shouldn't have to age the cigar to get decent value. Oh well, we'll see how it goes when they arrive. I've heard good things from others as well.

It's true. Why spend money on such young cigar? I never buy young cigars. Have to have at least 7-10 years on them.
Not surprised. Trinidad is a terribly overrated cigar in my experience. Beautifully rolled and presented, but that is the end of the story.
