    Cool demo of those pedals. I wish I had more room available at times with my live gear for more options.

      Thank you, Kyle. Appreciate it. You and me both! I keep most of my stuff in a storage area that is temp & humidity controlled. I am always having to sort through it. THen I end up with too much stuff around & have to restore it until the next time. I should have been in your last chat. I had the song in about 5 seconds! At least there is one benefit of being old, LOL!

      @@greatvanzini I'm so bad about buying new gear. I'm the type that unless I have 5 more reasons why I need it instead of just want it, I don't ever consider it. lol My live rig fits in a carry on and has to be that size.

    Danelectro always make me remember my teens, when they were considered the "cheaper" option, but now, well I think they have finally arrived. That echo pedal has a lovely sparkle to it. We live in such wondrous times, when a solid workman's guitar can be had for virtually nothing, and the same for amps and pedals. How I would have loved that as a teenager! I guess we can see why all the manufacturing jobs disappeared, especially from the UK, but from the USA too I should think. I get quite conflicted about it - LOL. Thank you GreatVanzinni, another clear demonstration that shed light on the product. Great stuff.

      Hey, Ian. Thanks for coming by. I mentioned in my live stream that Dano guitars were for poor kids. I forgot to add that I was one of them! Same here re: manufacturing. I think the learning is what I would have loved as a kid as much as anything. All the How To DVD's & such. OF course now we have them & I don't watch them!

      @@greatvanzini LOL You are so right, the resources I squander these days from an educational and self-improvement point of view would make my younger self weep. The best musicians always come from less privileged backgrounds I suspect, and you sir, are proof of that.

    Great demo, lots of good info in there - I have used one of these units for years. Before that, I used a Maestro Echoplex tape delay, which I still have and use occasionally. Afraid to use it too much, because if it breaks, it's gone - I have enough spare tape cartridges to last for a long time. But this unit is the next best thing, because it sounds so close to a tape delay, and because the controls are so similar for ease of operation. One feature I like is bi-amping, that is running one signal from the dry output to one amp, and the main echo signal to another amp. On stage, you can get spectacular stereo effects if you put the amps far apart on stage. Or even better, using another echo unit from the dry output, into the other amp - an example would be using slapback echo into one amp, and a long Pink Floyd style delay into the other amp. If adjusted and mixed properly, the multiple echo effects will be amazing on stage.

      @greatvanzini  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      WOW! You have the real thing! I'm glad you mentioned the outs. I think forgot to talk about the stereo out which is just a little bit important! LOL. Sounds like you really have the system down I bet it sounds great. For all my years of playing, I have never even tried stereo. thanks for stopping by BluesRocker. & hey, by the way, congrats on the 900 subs!

    I just picked up one of these, very helpful video! I've used a lot of different delays in the past, but my favorite is a Boss DD-2. I also use a Boss DM-2 and an Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man. The old EP-3s are great, but they're not convenient.

    Loved the demo! I missed the one I had for a while, and this is making me want to track down another...
    A side note, the top end roll-off that the Lo-Fi dial produces is re-added after _each_ delay, so you get a gradual tape-style degradation, getting darker and darker. If you keep that at minimum, the Sound-On-Sound 'looper' style functionality will work fine, as you're not getting that degradation effect turning the repetitions to wooly rumbles :)
