It seems the rare wublins are a lot more vibrant in color, so I can imagine one of two things: Epic Wublins would have a much more monotone color, a more dark color Epic Wublins would resemble one or two of the eggs used, like how Brump has furcorn eggs in their back. Someone actually made some concept art for this, which is pretty decent.
