She said because the movie was a period piece set in 1969, she and Elijah worked to preserve the integrity of the original recording in their cover, so that it would blend in seamlessly with the rest of the soundtrack. They did a great job.
My son went to a club ( The whiskey?) and said Elijah was performing, Cher was in the audience with a group of folks, at a private table, a How sweet is that?
I'm not a big fan of covers, but mother and son did a great job with this song. I loved the original and it's nice to hear when someone does a cover, when they add their personal touch to the song but they keep the integrity of the original song.

+Richie Herlinger He was sent to military school. He did say though that it was probably for the best, since things would've been pretty bad at home. I'm a big fan of his work with Deadsy and feel like he's a pretty down-to-earth person during interviews.

Just saw the movie a few minutes ago and I had to Google this song. I'm very impressed - it's outstanding! I'm old enough to remember the Allman Brothers in concerts. And on the radio for sure.
This song made me begin to listen to DEADSY and Elijah vocals too. I now think he has the most amazing male baritone in the industry and know he is doing art now and saw his first Show in L.A. but also hope he releases new vocals that showcase his fantastic voice !
