Found a beautiful full-double glass, aluminum frame weather door at the Dump. Not a scratch on in. With video, jackpot. 👍
Sounds great! Nice score on that door. happy holiday. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Found mine illegally dropped at the recycling center. Win/win for all! ❤❤❤❤❤
This is super helpful, thanks for the initiative!
You’re welcome thanks for watching
Saved me from butchering my door. Cheers!
Excellent glad to hear this was the first time we did this and it came out pretty good thanks for watching
great info thanks bought door at restore for 10.00 was stump to make a fit thanks
Nice work!
Can you also cut it down for a smaller width door? (29 x 78”)
Yes you can
I'm gonna do mine as well. I didn't buy a screen door with my new vinyl patio door, because the original aluminum one is still in great shape. Need to take an inch off however it's doesn't have screws. It's probably just pressure fit together.
Good luck on your project thanks for watching
Hey buddy thank you so much for the tutorial video My frame is made out of steel so I could use the same procedures ?
Just got to get the right blade to cut it and you should be OK good luck thanks for watching
Worked like a charm!! THANKS!!
Good luck on your project and thanks for watching
very informitive instruction video !!!
Glad it was helpful!
How about measuring the distance from the ends where the holes are and then use those same distances after you cut it down.
That’s a great idea. Appreciate that info will use it next time and thanks for watching.
Question can you use the cut off piece the old one and use it as a template for where the screw holes go
I guess you could do that and try to give it a try
Could probably get away with not taking corner brackets off the top strip?
Good tip
Great video I’ll give it a try! Thank You
Do you have a special blade on mitre box to cut aluminum?
We used a miter saw to cut these so they were exact on a 45° angle good luck thanks for watching
No special blade need to cut aluminum. Just make sure it's sharp.
Awesome I am going to have to do this. My basement door is 77.5 x 32 and they only make 80
Good luck on your install. Thanks for watching.
Good job! I liked it.
Thanks appreciate the kind words
Not exactly perfect work. That extra drilling looks rather flimsy and I wonder how soon the contraption will start to separate.
It’s still up there working
Anyone ever do this to Andersen 3000?
I’m not quite sure with Andersen is but I think you could do it with any door
@@TomLeeman I hope so! Lol. My door way was measured 79.5 x36
Oh wow
