Yesterday my friend was like "suggest me any good english TH-cam channel". I went, " Papa english is such a amazing channel. You can learn english easily from that".
Now, this is great! I've seen one of your videos somewhere before, and I tried looking for your channel on youtube but didn't find it. Just a while ago, I was browsing Lucy's instagram and I stumbled upon a picture of her with you. I was all like "OMG, His name is Aly, I've finally found him!". So now I go "Imma subscribe real quick!".
We were winding down with my friends and Sergey was like "What's the best English teacher?" And I went all "Dude, of course Aly from Papa Teach Me is the best teacher ever!" And he was all like "Wow, are you sure?" So I went "Mate, when I watch his videos I'm like ❤🔥"
One of famous youtubers recommended your channel. She went, "It's amazing! Fun and helpful." And I saw your video today for the first time, I'm all like, 👍😲🤣
Thank you very much for this video. This is the kind of lessons that I needed to learn English in real contexts from the beginning, but nobody taught me. 😢 Fortunately better late than never. 😉
This morning I bumped into a friend of mine I haven't seen for a while and I was like " It's been ages since the last time we met" and she went like "Yeah, you are right. Let's meet tomorrow around 8-ish, shall we? " and I went " Sure!". P.s. Keep up the good work!
When I saw my mother I was like starving in the morning but when I talk to her,she’s so argumentative and I go all annoyed so I kept ignoring her and I went “stop talking to me!”
I teach English as well and here's a fun story! One of my students would use "like" ...like all the time. Every third word was "like". So, I told her that every time she said "like", I'd do the macarena :p. Worked like a charm! So now her "like" is ....like....much less frequent which probably means I'm a terrible dancer. Oh well! xD
I think you were absolutely right to discourage the use of "like" so frequently. I hear a lot of teenagers talk like, "I mean like, she said like 'ok', I was kind of like "'huh', I mean you know, like, if you know what I mean like she laughed, like...." What the heck is going on here??? 😀 I, personally, almost never use "I was like..." or "She went like..." I know I should tone down my possibly "academic" sounding way of talking a little... ;-)
With my kids... During the day I go all like "pack it in, I've had enough now" and at night when they are sleeping I'm all like "they look like angels 🥰"
When my son talks to his Dad or to me he's often like "I don't want to do this. I don't feel like doing that". In the gym with his BJJ coach he all goes like "Yes sir! Oss". When I asked why he told it's because he didn't want to do pushups)))
♦️When I go to the shops on weekends and meet one of my coworkers I'm all like what on earth are you doing here mate do I have to see you even on weekends lol ♦️ I was having a conversation with a friend this morning, when I told him that he should consult a therapist because he has a hard time controlling his anger he was like NO I'm not out of my mind yet to see a therapist ... and I went on .. calm down mate there is nothing wrong with seeing a specialist that's like medicine for the mind and you 're gonna feel better afterward trust me
Every time my friend Fan-chan sees me, she goes all "Kareeeeeeeeeeeeeen" and is all over me. And I'm all "woooooow" you're gonna crush me, at least hold it 'till I put this coffee down on the table.
