    I miss waiting for the next episode and next season. Now , it might be available but the waiting, the excitement , the thoughts and all that come with the waiting. 90s generation know this passion.

    Even when you don't give your kids a screen they find a way. Go to church and my kids in the back sitting with his friend playing on the friends phone. Take them to a friends house and their kids are staring at a screen. Take them to a park and a kid shows up with their cell. My stepdaughter comes by and she spends most of the time here in her phone and I'm her stepparent without much parental rights of what to say to her. They go with dad and he's watching movies and buying them video games. I tell them to play outside and they want to go to their friends house and play video games. It's a constant battle where I'm always the bad guy cause and a regular argument about not getting a cellphone like other kids or asking me to get on my phone or a video game.

      If it’s that big of an issue then as a parent you will find a way to discipline and raise your child. If you sit back and say oh well, they’re gonna play on one anyway then you are giving in. My kids don’t have cell phones or internet access. For the fear of the consequences they won’t use their friends phone. Also they only stay at friends houses where we k ow the parents and they agree with our rules. If the other parents don’t agree to the rules we have for our children then our kids don’t stay. It’s not hard to be a parent and stick to your rules. I wish more people would do that instead of letting their kids control them. Corporal punishment is still legal in the US parents. So spanking is still a legal option. Also tired of parents not wanting to put hand to ass when it comes to parenting. I’ve only had to spank my kids a couple times but they remember and corrected bad behavior immediately.

      I think it's pretty obvious that your children will spend 90 percent of their time with you and at home. So just do what you can and limit their time at home. If they go to play at church or watch another kid I think that's fine it's still minimal when you look at the big picture.

    I image we're not getting any good songs with powerful lyrics from this generation. Very depressing. Not much by way of motions from this group and barely anyone is doing any about it. No PSAs. No anything.

    Thats why all these massacres ! The minute these kids realize they need to go into high school or college when life begins to get real and being in frint of a screen is no lo ger an option they get emotional meltdown and how do they come out of it becoming a shooting machine they discharge their anger and then “oh this felt good ok im done “ many lives lost because parents couldnt diacipline and love their children teach them about life be their friend but dont treat them like street friends that is the worst a parent can do ...stop trying to be a cool parent stop acting like you are a teenager be a parent !

    I often see parents who give their toddlers the phone just so they keep busy and don’t disturb. Horrible.
    My grandparents had to take care of us while my mom went to work. As soon as I was old enough to stay home alone, all I did was watch TV and that has had consequences that I am still suffering from today.

    My husband and I are both very determined NOT to have screens in our house until the kids are in high school after multiple conversations of digital responsibility. But, we have to work on our own screen time first. Here I am watching videos on TH-cam about screen time management when I should put my phone down and do something organic. 😂

    • @oreotrollturbo
      @oreotrollturbo 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The usage of technology is vital in this day and age . Yes you should limit what and for how long they watch .
      But if they haven't seen a single screen until high school they will struggle a lot to learn how to use it effectively.

      just to add as well that kids at school are taught at least how to use a computer from the ages of 4. so they won't be able to avoid screens completely. but like you said, you have to as the parent also be in a good place. teach them how to do something by modeling it to them.

    We shouldnt be giving these kids all this tech so young... it’s introducing them to addiction right away... there should be tech for kids and tech for adults... 18 yrs old... this guy is so right and i will not be surprised that there will be age limits on technology
