Contemporary Cement Sculpting Camp, Karnataka - Women Grinding Rice Sculpture

This sculpture was made in the contemporary cement sculpting camp organized at Agumbe by the Karnataka Shilpakala Academy. It becomes a great program for all the artists from respective sculpture backgrounds to meet and exchange knowledge on sculpting techniques on various topics. Tribal women grinding rice: a composition of women grinding grains together, earlier people carried all the household activities by hand and even today some in the rural areas follow the same method.

Thanks. It's a nice video. I wish however you had covered more. You show the cloth being finished, but not what kind of cloth you used. You show hands being finished, but not building them. You show face being sculpted but not the eyes. Those are most important to know. How do you do those parts?
