    I've got both the NRS Paddling Boots and the Boundaries and wear them in the same weather as you. The only thing I don't like about the paddling boots is that they provide very little cushioning on the bottom if you are stepping on dime to quarter size rocks, especially one you didn't see, can hurt! The Boundary boots are the best boots I've ever owned, love them!

    I should probably upgrade from my white Nike High tops

    Just bought the boundary boot w/ your link! Perfect timing to release the video, thank you!
    Also, any tips on how to land salmon with two rods in the water? I'm going to be doing some coho trolling and I'm nervous about hooking onto one and it getting tangled in the line of my other rod!

    I just got my first Dry Pants ( NRS Free fall Pant with booties) and NRS Paddle Wetshoes for cold water paddling. I wear a size 9 1/2 shoe and bought a size 11 to accommodate the bootie. The bootie is 2 to 3 inches bigger than my foot. When I slip my foot with bootie into the paddling shoe it forces my toes against the bootie which then feels very uncomfortable. I have experimented with putting the booties into the Wetshoe first and then putting my foot into the bootie already in the Wetshoe. This seems to work better but I can still have crinkled and bunched up bootie on the bottom or side of my foot which still feels uncomfortable. Is there some trick to this? Please help!

    Thanks for the video. I am struggling with the size I should take to fit my drysuit+socks. Recently I ordered size 9 NRS boots and they feel a little too tight. I chose size 9 as my usual shoe size is 8-8.5. The best size for me seems to be 9.5 but NRS only offers size 10. Do you think it might feel too loose or too prone to bagging water ? The only thing I use my feet for, while kayaking, is my foot steering system for my Torqueedo motor. Could you give me your two cents about this?

    Great info! Are you using the extreme cold boots for ice fishing also? That's the video I want to see, your reviews of ice fishing bibs, coats and boots! Do you have one out there? You probably do... and I've probably watched them lol. By the way, as others have said, you're looking like your weight loss program is working well for you! I'm going go have to watch that recent one again.

      Yes both the Korkers and the Muck are superb ice boots. I like the Korkers for the less slushy conditions and the Muck during the slush.

    If I wear socks under their dry suit and then wears the NRS boundary waters over the top, should I buy a size up or stay true to size? Thanks so much for all the great videos!

    Great information. Going to pick up the boundary boots. What do you use for gloves for cold weather kayaking?
    What do you typically wear under your dry suit?

    • @spiltmilt
      @spiltmilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For gloves I wear inexpensive wool gloves with nitrile gloves underneath: amzn.to/3YWafbq I will carry at least two pairs with me so if one gets soaked I can switch out.
      Layering underneath my dry suit is highly varied depending on daytime temps and expected exertion levels.

    I use crocs over drysuit and wool socks. It doesn’t go below 47 water temp in NorCal. Am I alone? 😂

    What happens if you fall in the water with any of these boots on? Do they get full of water and weigh you down causing safety issues?
